Description
This Swiss Army Knife of the Star Wars universe has arrived to Empyrion. Spawning in at level 7 for RE, and 8 for Vanilla, the Bantha Pod HV can serve as a early start mobile outpost and small bulk cargo container, and eventually upgrade to a multi-functional harvester with simultaenous placement of harvester tools, multi-tool turret, and drill turret.

The Nar Shaddaa Industries Bantha Pod

Features and Devices

Designed to work with the Strategic Transport Assault Gunship system as expandable cargo, the Bantha Pod can stand on its own as an early start high functional industrial HV. Best used in normal G environments, the extreme end of gravity environments will sap this container of movement when fully loaded. When fully upgraded with thrusters, The Bantha Pod can get some mobility on moderately G enhanced planets.

As an early start HV spawns in with fridge, oxygen dispenser, armor locker, wifi, and detector.

Can see a number of upgrades including additional thrusters, turrets for defense, constructors, shield, and a number of other devices.

Armament

The Bantha Pod comes unarmed, but placement is provisioned for 4+ turrets. If the build is not utilized with the vertical docking pads, then the top can be converted to additional turret mounts.

Armor

The build frame has a single exterior layer of steel. For use in areas that is not pacified, the defense can be supplemented with placement of shield, and a few shield extenders for RE

Additional Key Features:

Drone Hatch - Opened from the ships menu, when standing next to either door and facing out, the player can then spawn through the hatch.

Hover Engine Toggle - The hover engines can be powered off to force the pod to drop to the ground. This can be helpful in resisting the build from sliding, when drilling from parked angles.

Lore and History

Designed from the outset as a small bulk container for various corporations within Hutt Space, The Bantha Pod gained notoriety when customers started modifying it to work as a portable scrapper and salvager system. Some less than savory organizations, seeing the customizable potential and a chance to grift off the pods rising popularity started utilizing it in ways unintended, such as adding turrets and laying ambushes for cargo haulers who would suddenly find themselves in positions they were unprepared for, humiliatingly having to surrender their goods over to an armed cargo container. The Bantha Pod would see use during the Galactic Civil War, serving both sides as a reliable small bulk container.

Yes! I love Bantha Pod 1, I can only dream of the possibilities of BP 2.0! More weapons! More ambushes! I mean... peaceful mining...

HV's are a special creature for some reason, when it comes to weight balance. I think one of the solutions that was ran by me was making the width of the HV an even number as opposed to an odd number.

That and another of other things I need to try.. one other one is cutting down the container size, and moving the mass more toward the center.. thats a bit of work, but at some point Id like to revisit this for RE2

My friend and I have had an issue using this in Vanilla recently--once it gets a bit loaded down with salvage or ore, it starts "flipping out" for lack of a better word. It tilts up and down uncontrollably, and the only solution seems to be to turn it off--as soon as it's turned back on it starts doing it again. Is there something we're doing wrong?

for the blueprint isue you can copy all blueprints or the ones you want to see and are new to your local blueprint folder.
your local folder will show all blueprints without cap.

there is even a bash script out there that can automatically copy over blueprints which makes it easier, but you have to be able to execute bash on your windows pc which isn't standard.
for me worked git, but guess thats a bit more advanced xD

@ sylverarow I think I made mention about the RCS in the vid. Was recommended for, I can't remember if it was RE or Vanilla, but one of them was a little sluggish until it was fully upgraded.

@ Adrian I think the cap was 100 before the new ones don't show up, unless that was changed, so if you had 200 before, and removed half, then you are still cap. Otherwise you could try unsub, and resub to one of my builds to see if that fixes it. You have to completely exit the game for it to shop up, and also take note, my blueprints start with a bracket "[" so considers thats what you will be looking for, since that's thrown someone else off.

Past that i'm not sure how to help, other than let Eleon know and maybe they can come up with something

#LyfeForse, I have deleted half of all my BP, and still I cant see any of ur creation in my list, too bad.

The only issue I had was this build turns horribly may need more RCS to correct that issue... new player so I added more thrusters then deconed mine before i figured out that RCS helps turn hover vessels.
