Description
What happens when the Star Wars Mandalorian Razor Crest meets a LAAT Gunship? The Strategic Transport - Assault Gunship "Stag" is born. Stag spawns in as a level 20 core 6 light transport, and with enough moddable upgrade potential to make what Han Solo did to the M. Falcon look like a pinstriping job. Stag is also part of a modular system, where the underwings are designed to accommodate attachable cargo/harvester HV's and SV interceptors!

Hello kindred Empyrion spirits!

Let me start with a request; please respect blueprint authors. Often it takes months to finesse a build, and to have it ripped and reuploaded without permission or even so much as credit, can be discouraging, often pushing such authors away from the community.

I personally don't mind critical feedback, and constructive criticism, as it will serve me to better my builds. However, If you enjoy my content, and there is much more to come, respect my (and others) authorship of these massive timesinks. Thank You.

The Rothana Heavy Engineering ST-AG

Stag is potent as a single build, but its design is made to be the centerpiece of a modular system, where attachable HV's with cargo and respawn chamber can extend your mission profile, and with attachable interceptors can wear down POI's and CV's with wolf pack tactics. Features and Devices

Stag spawns in with several armor lockers placed at the front and rear of ship, 2 fridges, detector, wifi, and oxygen dispensers.

The Main Ship Menu features a toggle signal to highlight where the generator upgrades are placed.

The core is placed torward the center of the ship, but there is an alternative placement at the front for those that prefer this method, which can be found forward and below the cockpit control station.

Additionally, there is a secure cockpit located midsection of the ship.

The central operations area has a ceiling tall enough to allow players to spawn a drone inside the ship

Armament

Stag Spawns in as a lightly armed transport with a minigun and two lasers. With some CPU in reserve, the armament can be immediately beefed up without having to place the 2 additional improved + 1 advanced CPU for RE players, though RE players will want to decide between that and slotting in more forward thrust, or settle on a mix.

At peak RE CPU and gens placed, Stag can see placement of 16+ guns and 29+ turrets in the assault gunship role, which can operate on high G planets (tested 4.2).

Armor

The build frame has a single exterior layer of steel in most places, but is reinforced a critical areas with hardened steel, such as around the CPU, and places where chain reactions can be mitigated.

The nose of the ship features the bulk of armoring 2-3 layers or more of hardened steel wrapping around decoys to provide a frontal cushion in the case of sudden drop of the shield.

Storage

30k Ammunition
14k Harvest
5k Supplemental cargo divided among 4 systems
Additional boxes

The modular system of Stag's attachable cargo HVs in conjunction with a prolific placement of lift thrust can see Stag top 100k or more of cargo potential.

Lore and History

The Initial production run of ST-AG was unremarkable, serving as a lightly armed small bulk transport, and some configurations as a security forces patrol gunship.

Only after the outbreak of the Galactic Civil War would Stag begin to gain notoriety. The Rebel Alliance, always seeking to aquire possession of any and all hardware, did come into possession of several Stags after a raid on a Rothana Heavy Engineering hub.

The Rebel Alliance immediately went into overdrive retrofitting, upgunning, and overhauling the small squad, some of them settling into a strategic transport role, jumping in and out of contested space to resupply Rebel cells within Empire space, and others as a hit and run gunships.

It is only with the defection of the former Rothana Heavy Engineering designs officer, Commander Shepster, would the Stag really be exploited to its fullest potential. Shepster, having some familiarity with the ST-AG program, and was a coordinator of development teams for the LAAT gunship program, knew full well what could be achieved. His experience utilized Stag to a full transport potential, making use of the wings as heavy deployable mounts as was learned with his time on the LAAT program, and optimizing the on board processing system to allow a significant increase of firepower displacement. The result being a deadly platform of trans-solar capability.

Not showing up on the list? You may have hit a blueprint cap, in which case you'll have to let loose some blueprints.

On the matter of converting it to RE2 proper, that's one of my builds higher on the list

Thank you very much commche. I feel that way in particular about this build and the Kahless Deathwing. Both I feel are pretty solid executions of what shapes and combinations are available within the Empyrion blockset.

This is one of the best builds I have seen. You leaned nicely into the rigid aesthetic of block ship building instead of wrestling with round shapes. Very well thought out and practical design with sleek and beautiful aesthetics.

Can do. The Venator is a fuel hog at size 63 but has a huge hanger that could easily handle 4 to 6 ST-AGs. I'll keep an eye out for you next build, don't rush on my account! (LOL) I believe it also fits into an older Star Destroyer. I was hoping it would fit in the Judicator, but sadly no.

Ohh, great to hear. Not sure on what other builds stag could fit through. It needs a max size door, so that's the barometer. I'm working on a a Quasar carrier that can fit it that will be out in a week or two if you can hold out till then

I love this design! With the Bantha pod they have become my new starting vessels, however, I am struggling to find a mid game Star Wars CV to base them out of. The ST0AG doesn't fit through the bay door. I found a Venator SD the works for late game, but need suggestions for a mid game CV. Thanks for the great work!
