Description
-- As of the October 2023 update, a version of the mod has been added that uses .308 rounds, and does not require Brita's. --

A heavily modified version of Hanskaffee and BIBI's WZ-551 IFV Mod (Workshop ID: 2846696748)

- 6 > 12 seats

- 4 > 6 tires

- Random > Performance Parts

- Random > Military HAM radio

- No Gas Tank change (An attempt was made. Doesn't play nice with other mods/some saves. Criteria unknown.)

- Normalized fuel consumption

- MG uses 7.62x54r now (hence Arsenal + Brita is necessary)

***NOTE: The UN skin version uses .308 for its MG.***

- MG is more lethal now (on account of ammo amount used)

- Removed most normal windows and doors +6 "murder holes" (hatches) (can't be hit when firing from here)

- 4 > 1 door (rear)

- Removed Trunk. Replaced with Ammo & Tool Storage

- + Front seat-accessible Gun Rack storage.

- 6 seats (Front L/R, Middle Rear L/R, Rear L/R) can be entered via hatches from sides. Other seats utilize the back door. Use 'Z' key for this. Exit will be from the same way entry was made.

- 'E' key can only get you into the back seat. Be careful.

- Hatches can be opened/closed via 'V' key.

- Utilizes TheTigerTank Mod's Offensive Armor system (ramming)

- Defensive Armor system (only Engine/Muffler/External Storage can 'break' from normal use. Other parts wear down. Exposed parts can become critically damaged). Removing parts/breaking them intentionally (slashing tires, cuttings brake lines, breaking windows) is possible.

- Rear 'hatch' is vulnerable. Fire from there only when possible/necessary.

- Custom item spawn chance on all seats/storage, including corpses.

- + 12 passenger accessible (front seats excluded) backpack hooks for storage (spawn randomized)

- + 4 external tool slots corresponding with the IFV model (pick, shovel, axe, sledgehammer) (I can't believe this worked lmao) (can break via zombies)

- + 4 external spots to tie bags to (all accessible from outside + spawn randomized) (can break via zombies)

Abandoned in Knox County during the quarantine, it has been...repurposed...for use by America's Kentucky militia (We The People).

Do your duty as an American and use your god-given right to keep and bear arms to put down all threats, foreign and domestic.

NOTE:

Now, I haven't been able to get explicit permission from the original authors yet, so this will stay up unless I'm asked to take it down, in which case I will.
I have talked to him, however, and he seems to be cool with it.
I know that they're fine with their code being utilized, as per their Tiger (Tank) mod, but that's the extent of my knowledge on the matter.

As the original author didn't mind people utilizing their code, I don't mind you guys grabbing what I've used here either. I've received a lot from the Zomboid community, and I hope this mod's code is useful to someone who wants to modify a vehicle that they have and may want to upload to the workshop. In the event that I'm asked to take this down, I'll either leave this mod behind as code, or upload the code in a separate mod, removing the models and textures to prevent further issues.

Tips:
Fire the MG in taps/bursts to conserve ammo. Rotate turret to aim the cannon. Cannon range is locked. Reverse is more reliable than acceleration when stuck off-road (if you are). When using the MG, further zombies need to be directly in front of the IFV. Close-up zombies in a 180 degree arc can be cleaned up with it though. Zombies to your "6" are not affected.

This is so you don't mess up and leave your hood open. Of course, you don't have to have this mod, but I do recommend it.

@2729593132 Texture issues. Have no idea how they work in B42
@ItO 90M - The grass issue applies to all vehicles iirc, especially when you've overloaded the vehicles. I've had the same issues with trucks and such as well. As for the top speed, that was based off the original settings (Hanskaffee and BIBI's WZ-551 IFV Mod (Workshop ID: 2846696748)). I haven't touched those settings at all. Most I've touched is fuel consumption.

Why is the horsepower of this vehicle greater when reversing than when moving forward? Why is the maximum speed of this vehicle on the road only 45 km/h? As far as I know, the maximum forward speed of the Type 92 is 85 km/h. And why does this vehicle move very slowly when driving forward on the grass but still reverses as quickly as before?

@SaphirDragon Depends on which version you're using. UN skin version requires .308 in your main inventory, not your bag(s). Normal version requires brita + 7.62x54r iirc. While in the vehicle, press the ↓ key to fire the machine gun. For the main cannon, press the up key while having the shells in your main inventory, again not your bag(s). There is no reload. Use the ↔ keys to turn the turret to aim properly.

@FDGDYY Mm...I have no idea how the vehicle textures work in B42 tbh lol. It technically functions when I tested it, but the textures are bugged af. If you can get the original author of the mod to update the textures for B42 then sure, otherwise it probably won't be a thing. Sorry my guy.
