The year is 2111. Human space travel has hit another big boom, a corporate war has started, and the market for used starships is getting wild. See what the classifieds can offer you.

Notice the "CPE" field on the ads for all these ships? That's the Combat Performance Estimate; in other words, the dealer's best guess at how well the ship in question will do in a fight in its own weight class. CPE values are as follows:

• None - For things that would be genuinely unusable in a fight; cargo drones, mobile satellites and the like.
  
• Poor - Whether it's lack of weapons or the handling of a brick, something about this ship means you should stay away from fights.
  
• Fair - A full frontal assault (by you or from anyone else) probably wouldn't end well, but a "Fair" rated ship should stand up to the odd scavenger with a DIY combat drone.
  
• Evasive - A special rating for ships with little to no firepower, but exceptional speed and agility, allowing you to simply run away from any engagement. Can't hit what they can't see.
  
• Good - Should you mount an offensive against a PMC's orbital ops center? Probably not. Will pirates be an issue? Probably not.
  
• Specialized - A select few vessels excel at one type of combat, but will be caught short in another. Carriers, long-range artillery ships, anti-fighter craft, that sort of thing. The weird ones.
  
• Excellent - Wherever you got your "Excellent" rated ship, I hope you covered your tracks. What you have is probably military grade and isn't supposed to end up in private hands, so count yourself lucky. And prepare for a fight.
