Kanklith is proof that we don't need to be looking for planets similar to Earth in our search for other life, as life will flourish (or at least try to) on even the most extreme planets. While Kanklith orbits a star similar in size to our own sun, it orbits very close; nearing the limit for how close a planet can be to its star while still being habitable, at least to normal, organic lifeforms rather than incomprehensibly abstract non-carbon-based heat-adapted beings that don't even look like living organisms. There is no sense of "cold" here; the planet's poles consist of tropical rainforests, while the equator and most of the middle of the planet is a nearly uninhabitable desert known as the Scorchlands, as opposed to Earth's tropical equator and icy poles. Despite these harsh conditions, Kanklith is full of life.

Kanklith is basically a speculative evolution project that got a bit crazy with the Zhaxworp and stuff but still tries to stay as realistic as my preference for wacky, impossible lifeforms will let me before manifesting into a Galactic DilophoPenguin which will teleport me to a Raquis planet where I will either be modified into a creature with hands for eyes and teeth for feet, be stuffed with their spores to create more of them, be melted into gooey organic matter which the Raquis will proceed to use for their weird Raquisy purposes, or any combination of those three.

If anybody wants to give me ideas, go ahead. Whether it's for all-new inhabitants of the world, or improvements to already-existing ones, like ideas to make them more realistic.
