stronger_shields.pack

Description
This very small mod doubles the shield value of every unit.

I have made this mod because have you ever tried to cut a wooden plate with an axe into 2 pieces, isn't very easy. Wood is stronger than it looks.

I think stronger shields are much more realistic.

Compatibel with version 2.2.0

If I made any english mistakes, please excuse me, because english isn't my native language :)

@Ronon
Nice bit of ahistorical fantasy you've got going on there with the Vikings. Lol

Vikings warriors could cut a rond wood shield in one shot... shields were use not for block but for deflect swords hit and arrows (thats why it is rond) Roman's had very large shields and reinforced with metal... So this mod is just another point of view and is not realistic.

Ya, this mod makes shields stronger so they can absorb much more damage.
Is in my opinion more realistic.

Does this increases the defense of shield units vs missile attacks?

You know Rome's shields were actually made with a laminated/riveted construction where there was a dead space in them so that when they were struck by flaming arrows they would pierce the front and stick in the back piece then the flames would gutter out because they couldn't get fresh air in the little dead space in the middle of the shield.
