Descripción

We are the servants of Allah. Once blessed with a holy kingdom that ruled across endless seas of sand. Alas, our golden age has long been forgotten, and the empire now lies in ruin. In ancient times, the holy sages foretold that a thousand years of famine and pestilence would befall the kingdom. We doubted their warnings, and a plague of murderers and thieves was our reward. A cruel, merciless king seized power in a brutal coup, bringing the kingdom into a new age of despair. Hundreds of years have passed, and still we see no respite from our suffering. Our repulsive nobility feasts in their palaces while their subjects starve. Entire cities have been torn apart by the corruption and poverty our rulers have wrought. In this new era, our best chance of survival is a life of crime. Our holy kingdom is no more. Allah, we beg of you. Bring the sinners to justice.

The Faceless Sultanate is the fourth installation in my Empires of Old mod series. This series aims to expand upon RimWorld’s lore and introduce new alien civilizations to the game.

The sultanate is an ancient holy kingdom that is plagued by piracy and corruption. Centuries ago, the kingdom enjoyed a beautiful golden age. There was peace and prosperity until a terrible king seized power. Many years later, the sultanate has inherited a history of piracy and corruption. The nobles enjoy exorbitant lives in their luxurious palaces, while the peasantry suffer at the hands of pirates and thieves.

There is an extensive black market in the sultanate. Their pirate caravans do not require a royal title to barter. The royal families only engage in orbital trade.

- 1 new empire faction.
- New royal titles and permits.
- New Royal Ascent, Deserter, and Royal Wimp quests.
- 1 new culture.
- 347 real Middle Eastern names and some special ones.

This mod is compatible with CE and VFE – Empire. The new factions will not make use of the new royalty mechanics, such as the Great Hierarchy.

Patched for:
- Vanilla Ideology Expanded – Memes and Structures.
- Alpha Memes
- Vanilla Base Generation Expanded

Thank you to the RimWorld modding community for answering my stupid questions.

v Expanding on what Sublime said, yes we muslims do not believe Allah has children. Mod author, if you were planning an islamic sultanate, to correct this, you could instead change it from children to servants.

@Sublime Good to know. Thank you.

As an FYI, Muslims, at least, do not believe Allah has children. They would never say that first line. So, if you're going for Islamic stylized lore then that's a big contradiction in that. Arab christians (who also use the name Allah) however do. Sultanate implies the Islamic side of things however so I thought I would drop my unsolicited comment here. :)

This mod is now compatible with Combat Extended
@Krazy4Games please update the mods description
in fact it isn't the only one the following are also now CE compatible: Core, Polluted Legion, Rising Sun, Engineers Institute

I gathered this data by checking CE's internal mod patches

@zeus57007 This mod was never designed as a medieval faction. To convert it, I think I would need to rebuild a lot of it from scratch. I'm not saying no, but this isn't a high priority for me at the moment.

I have a dumb question. For those of us who make the Empire from royalty medieval, can there be a medieval version of this?
