Description
Europe is all but liberated, but it matters not. Once we have overcome this final obstacle, we shall leave the world in a false sense of security for decades to come. And when the time is ripe, the Brotherhood of Nod will finally emerge from the shadows and sting in full force...

Now, within Tesla's treasure trove you retrieved are documents referencing a series of experiments carried out at the Philadelphia naval shipyard. They revolved around something codenamed 'The Paradox Device', the very prototype of the Chronosphere itself, which has now also been adapted into vehicular form. This infernal technology is far too dangerous to exist.

Your first goal is to capture an airfield to allow for vehicle delivery to it. Then locate and destroy the Chrono Tank production bay. Chrono ambushes then no longer being a risk, demolition trucks will be delivered to the airfield. Use only these trucks to destroy the Chronosphere and the accompanying lab, for destruction by conventional means will not do. It must all be reduced to ash.

<HINTS>
- Medics are improved (same as previous mission). They heal twice as fast and also self-heal
- Paratrooper ability will deliver vehicles to your airfield
- There is no ore on this map
- To review the briefing mid-mission, make a save and select the save in the load menu
- Ending score screen and cinematic will only play if you play the mission from start to finish without loading (game bug)

Hey, thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed it! Hmm, it's weird that the mission would fail like that. It's set up in such a way that once you get the trucks within a couple of tiles of the buildings you need to destroy, it makes it possible to win by destroying the structures. The only way it should fail is that either if you destroyed the buildings without having the trucks reach them, or if the trucks got destroyed before reaching the buildings. But good thing that you were able to complete it anyway!

It was a fun mission. I really enjoyed playing from start to finish, failed at the end because of a bug: it is my theory that if the nuke trucks target anything other than the objectives (infantry standing in front of the chronosphere) the mission will consider failure. No biggy just reloaded. I loved the omahg to the cutscene with the two towers and cruiser.

If only wish that GDI should use Chrono Tech against Brotherhood of Nod, but I fear it would impact their own forces. That's why it's being shut down by UNGDA.

Oh yeah, the war factory was very much a late game thing for me, I got like 8 medium tanks out of it, by that point I had about 70 infantry, 20 light tanks and 8 artilleries pushing forward, so it was barely part of my playthrough, next time I'll probably make the war factory my third destination.

I also wish I had noticed the three warehouses to the east earlier on, I discovered them on a random spy plane flyby, by that point I think I was already sending my folks to break through the defenses around the Chronotank assembly. That was the hardest part, because my units were split up defending, and I was basically using a small squad of inf and some tanks and arty I got.

I did things in a bit of a hard way haha, but hey it could be worse, in my 2nd attempt I wasn't thinking and destroyed the Barracks, while that did mean that I only had to defend one thing, it would also have meant that I could not capture anything at all and would be relying on airdrops and migs, if I continued.

Hey, thanks for the feedback :) You do get some units straight away for capturing the airfield and destroying the nearby AA gun, but yea, it's not a lot. I didn't want to give *too* much to the player because my intent with these "Nodiet" missions is to sort of capture that puzzley TD Nod guerrilla mission feel where you try to do as much as possible with as little as possible.

My personal approach for this mission would be once I captured the barracks, airfield and radar, to chip away at the defenses at the little island to the east with the 3 warehouses, and then capture the War Factory just across the water and start pumping out tanks.

This is of course not me saying you did it the "wrong way", as there really isn't such a thing. I do tend to get locked in on certain methods of completion so it's more a fault of mine design-wise if anything, but it can be a little hard to be objective sometimes when you've spent so much time with creating it :P

I've done it! Failed a couple times at first.

Once I learned I could get money from the warehouses, I captured the SW barracks, properly cleared the way to the airfield, and then I put the game on the fastest speed and kind of waited until I built up a force of vehicles, eventually I learned that I could ambush convoys so I used that to build up on infantry as well, which I split up to respond to the Chronotanks. I gradually pushed out, explored, did things right and got to watch that rad CG at the end.

I liked the airdrops, it made the faction feel unique.

The one criticism that I have, is that it was a bit slow going at first, I was waiting on convoys and timers, I wish I got some extra reinforcements after I captured the airfield to get the ball rolling. But maybe I did all of this in a silly way lol.
