Description
Port of Viking Invasion 2 (VI2), a RTW BI mod made by Palantir in 2008. The version ported is VI2 v1.7 + Dominion of Britannia. Additional information on the original VI2 mod and Dominion of Britannia below:

Viking invasion II aims to recreate the campaign of the cult-status MTW: Viking Invasion on the Rome BI engine. It sticks closely to the original campaign, only making changes to correct large inaccuracies, to improve gameplay and comply with the new engine. It is also set a little later than the original campaign at AD 851 - two years after the birth of King Alfred the Great of Wessex. The map covers Ireland, England, Alba (Scotland), Jutland, Wales, and the isles and westernmost provinces of the Norwegians. There are 50 provinces and many new strategy-map trade resources and other models, as well as new map textures for both summer and winter. Eight factions are included which cover the Viking, Saxon and Celtic cultures.

Viking Invasion II: Dominion of Britannia aims to take the original Viking Invasion II (itself based on the cult-status Medieval Total War: Viking Invasion) and add more options for play whilst also enhancing historical accuracy. The map covers Ireland, England, Alba, Jutland, Wales, and the isles and westernmost provinces of the Norwegians. There are about 15 more regions (same map) to traverse and conquer, and two brand new factions - the Uí Néill and the East Angles - to lead to victory.

Hello, is there any chance you could release your fixes for this mod, viking invasion, and the arthurian mod for the original RTW game? Or let me know how I could apply those fixes manually?

@Ed have you tried the mod? the ai spams shit ton of armies and unrelentless attack your unwalled settlements that in no way you can defend and losing even one settlement means you go broke, the mod is unfair and unfun

@MarZio - the original mod (this is a port) was indeed balanced to make it very hard for the player and buffed the AI considerably. If you want a more balanced experience play the Sandbox campaign instead.

Hey, Ed. I'm not the mod maker, but it seems that remastered itself automatically makes units run, and you have to manually change that. If you hold spacebar in a battle, it should open a menu which allows you to toggle walk/run.

I personally find it weird that Remastered doesn't use the click/double click for walk and run, and it was a little jarring to me, too.

Hi Lucius, is there any way to make units walk on the battlemap by default? At present all units seem to run by default. Thanks!
