Hello, is there any chance you could release your fixes for this mod, viking invasion, and the arthurian mod for the original RTW game? Or let me know how I could apply those fixes manually?

@Ed have you tried the mod? the ai spams shit ton of armies and unrelentless attack your unwalled settlements that in no way you can defend and losing even one settlement means you go broke, the mod is unfair and unfun

@MarZio - the original mod (this is a port) was indeed balanced to make it very hard for the player and buffed the AI considerably. If you want a more balanced experience play the Sandbox campaign instead.

Hey, Ed. I'm not the mod maker, but it seems that remastered itself automatically makes units run, and you have to manually change that. If you hold spacebar in a battle, it should open a menu which allows you to toggle walk/run.

I personally find it weird that Remastered doesn't use the click/double click for walk and run, and it was a little jarring to me, too.

Hey mate, all of my units have peasant images for their cards. Both in Custom Battle and Campaign. Have I done something wrong?

@brakonierrr - I added the sandbox campaign back in August 23nd. Here's the release notes:

-Added a brand new sandbox campaign. This campaign does not execute a starting script that tweaks difficulty based on what faction the player selects and buffs the AI. This sandbox campaign also increases starting money to $15k for all non-Viking factions.

The original Viking Invasion 2 campaign had a starting script that tweaked the difficulty of the mod based on what faction the player picked. In general, this script made the mod harder for the player since it buffed the AI a lot and de-buffed the player.

I introduced the sandbox campaign so I could play the campaign without this script and play more of a vanilla-style experience. The mod is challenging in itself since buildings do not provide enough economic / income boosts, so the script made the mod super challenging. Hopefully other fans of vanilla-style campaigns can enjoy the sandbox campaign.

One of the greatest mods for TW for sure!!!
Recently I deciced to come back to it, and noticed a new option in the main menu which I dont think remember from before - Sandbox Campaign, just below the Viking Invasion Campaign option. Does anyone happen to know what it is all about and whats the difference between the two?

@ancient - unfortunately not at the moment. This was my first mod project and I just wanted to port the OG mod as-is. Also, I'm currently working on porting another mod so I have very limited time to go back and add new factions to other mods. Maybe in the future though.

@Andy's Take - thanks for the feedback. That's definitely on my list but not sure if it will happen any time soon. I was motivated to port this mod because I'm a huge OG RTW fan and it's a huge pain to play OG RTW and mods in newer machines. So hoping to bring some of these mods back to life by porting them to the RR engine. Currently working on porting Norman Invasion (a sequel to Viking Invasion and made by the same developer), coming out in the next 2-3 weeks!
