Description


Adds a new xenotype, the shek - a race from the game Kenshi by Lowfi Studios.

A much requested Biotech revamp of the legacy Rim-Shek mod that required HAR.

Adds the shek as a xenotype. They spawn in their own faction, with a tribal option for those low-tech playthroughs. Outside of that they have a small chance of spawning in outlander factions. They also carry over the custom shek names from the legacy mod.


Q - "What's the difference between the two mods?"
A - This one uses the xenogene system added by Biotech, the old one uses HAR.

Q - "Which one's better?"
A - Probably this one.

Q - "Why not just delete the old mod?"
A - Some people can't afford Biotech, or maybe they just don't wanna buy it and prefer HAR.

you know sheks using biotech xenogenes makes more sense than the original mod, with the kenshi lore

After some time, if I researched and understood correctly, this mod doesn't need any CE patch.

I was wondering, Rim-hivers and rim-shek are CE compatible by default, are your biotech versions are also automatically compatible or not? I personally dont think so, and I may make a compat patch.

@Derg definitely not the xenotypes which have integrated armor, or the ones that apparently change the bodyshape and make it something different from average human.. and the list goes on and on. CE changes a LOT of things, not only weapons man.

@HappyAnarch1st Bro this is not a weapons mod. Pretty much all xenotype mods are compatible by default

@Yehoria I'm revamping them, I made this mod when I was in a lull and didn't wanna go all the way with them. Things like plates on the body, and cutting off their horns.

@Aitor i inspected the code and the limitations could be circumvented by splitting the gene in two(for plates and horns). There is so much interesting stuff to be done here...
