Description
Jimothy notice: feel free to update, fork, integrate etc yadi yada my mods. Just make sure that you're doing it to make things more fun for the players. Details in a discussion attached to this mod.

1.8 and previous version of mod, read for details on how this works:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2856534229&tscn=1684174383

All problems fixed now :) Problems were due to dumb stuff that could've been easily fixed the whole time if only I knew how to read. Big thanks to Stik for pointing out the problems in the code.

Quick explanation of how mod works:
If you have any viable* children with a spouse, then any children you've had with consorts/concubines gain a trait that stops them from inheriting land and claims.
You can use an interaction to un-disinherit them, and to re-disinherit them, as well as disinherit children from concubines without the need to have any with a spouse. This costs prestige.
You can also reform your religion so that children of concubines have just as much claim to your land and titles as those from spouses, or so that they're absolutely never allowed to inherit even if you don't have any children from spouses.
*Viable = not disinherited, monk, or anything else that prevents them from inheriting.

Changes from previous version:
- Decision to mass disinherit / mass un-disinherit has been altered. There should no longer be any risk of your game being crashed if you open it while having lots of kids.
- You no longer need to reform your religion for automatic disinheriting. You can still reform it to stop disinheriting, or prevent being able to un-disinherit.

Elaborations:
- If you have no kids from spouses, then kids from concubines can still inherit, so no game-overs.
- If your spouse-kids die, your concubine-kids stay disinherited, but by that point you should have the prestige to un-disinherit one of them (the prestige cost isn't large).
- You still get prestige every time you have a child with a concubine. Getting very fertile concubines = prestige farm.
- This applies to the AI too. The above helps keep realms of AI that fail/forget to have kids with spouses from having bad times.
- You can still give land to children had with concubines. They just don't inherit claims or titles.

Onedrive nuked my files so I technically can't update my old mods, but I can sub to them, copy-paste them into new mods, alter them for the new update and then upload them for y'all.

I'd recommend using this mod for your needs instead.
It was made 2 months after this mod's last update, and has been getting updates since.

Downsides in comparison to my mod:
- Overwrites some basegame stuff, which can impact compatibility with other mods. Assuming you're not using other mods that overwrite the same stuff, tho, this should be fine.
- Is a consistent automatic thing, not something you can change with religious reformation.

Big upside in comparison to my mod:
- A deeper and more immersive system of concubinage. Includes things like being able to go to war against someone if they turn a loved one into a concubine to get them back, and diplomatic offering of concubines to get truces, for example.

Dude I haven't updated this mod in like 2 years. It's outdated af. The fact that any of it is working at all is kinda incredible.

Check what the doctrines on your religion are / whether they say you can legitimize and de-legitimize children of concubines. If they say you can't, that's your issue, and you've gotta reform. If they say you can, then the delegitimize function is broken.

I can legitimise concubine children, but I can NOT delegitimise them.
Is it OK?
I am taltosist (unreformed) in tribal era.

@Dr Jimothy thanks for letting me know. Good Luck on your new journey and endeavors!

@CozA

I'm probably never updating this mod, because I don't play CK3 anymore.
Read "The Jimothy Guarantee (copy my mods)" (a discussion attached to this mod) for details. In short anyone is free to update or fork this mod, or integrate it or things from it into any mod of their own, and of course using my mods as learning material for your own modding (though lot of it is likely outdated now).
The only thing I don't like is copying and pasting a whole mod without changing anything, especially if multiple people do it and so distract from cases where someone's actually made improvements, fixed broken things etc.

@Dr Jimothy Thank you for taking the time to reply! And yeah the two mods don't play very well together I've tried. I actually sent this mod to the author of Harem Politics and he thinks its amazing and might be interested in making a compatch for it in the future or perhaps, even integrate some of its features into the mod.

I don't even know what version CK3 is currently on because I haven't played it in a while, but a quick look at CK3's on action files says those still work the same, so this mod will almost definitely work fine.

Harem Politics and this will have a teeny bit of a jarring problem working together, which is that promoted concubine's children won't auto-lose the disinheritment trait, so you'll need to manually un-disinherit those children, and children of wives demoted to concubines won't automatically become disinherited unless/until another sibling is born, so you'll need to manually disinherit those, too.

This isn't really something that can be fixed within this mod without making it require Harem Politics to function. It'd need to be an add-on mod for, or integrated into, Harem Politics. Some juicy info for any interested in making that at the top of the description, or not if you're reading this less than a few minutes after I've commented it.

Does this still work with the latest version of CK3? I'm dying to have it alongside the Harem Politics mod.
