Description
This mod increases the risk of getting sick by up to 2.5x compared to vanilla. Illnesses and diseases are also more deadly than before. Fertility and pregnancies too have been touched upon, with more frequent pregnancy complications being one of the features.

Note: Setting the minor diseases game rule to "fewer" gives a 30% chance that you won't get an illness when you would have otherwise. Meaning it should work like the chance was ~18% each month instead of 25% each month at the base setting (without mod: 10%). If a 2.5x increase is too much for your liking then I recommend using the aforementioned game rule.

Disease Changes
  • The common cold (ill trait) is now twice as deadly
  • Pneumonia is now 33% more deadly
  • Great Pox is now twice as deadly
  • Leper is now twice as deadly
  • Gout is now twice as deadly
  • Consumption is now twice as deadly
  • Cancer is now 33% more deadly
  • Typus is now 43% more deadly
  • Smallpox is now slight less deadly (-14%), but will probably spread more now
  • Sickly trait (for children) is now slightly less deadly (-10%), but is now more long term

Fertility & Pregnancy Changes
  • Base number of children increased by 1
  • Extra children for rulers decreased by 1
  • Minimum fertility chance set to 0% instead of the previous 1%
  • Fertility chance multiplier changed to 3.2 from the previous multiplier of 4.75 (-33%)
  • Non-spouse fertility decreased to 60% from the previous 100% (no change in chance)
  • Female initial fertility now starts at 60% instead of 100%, moving towards the original 10% final fertility
  • Extra fertility for first ruler child has been increased slightly ( 0.4 instead of 0.3) to account for lower female fertility
Fertility traits are now tiered, much like the beauty traits, physical traits and intelligence traits.
  • Barren/Sterile: -80% Fertility, -5 Years of Fertility
  • Impotent Loins: -60% Fertility, -3 Years of Fertility
  • Weak Loins: -40% Fertility, -1 Year of Fertility
  • Fruitful Loins: +10% Fertility, +1 Year of Fertility, +1 Year Life Expectancy
  • Prolific Loins: +30% Fertility, +3 Years of Fertility, +3 Years Life Expectancy
  • Exceptional Loins: +50% Fertility, +5 Years of Fertility, +5 Years Life Expectancy

Pregnancy complications are also now more common at every health level, as for exact percentages, I've no clue. The numbers don't really make any sense but at least it works.

At the end of the day these are just numbers, me thinks you should probably just try the mod out for yourself and see if you like it instead of basing your decisions on numbers that may or may not actually make any sense.

I happen to love collecting traits so i like this mod, but would love a stand-alone where less women die from childbirth (I play with the Elf destiny mod, and this single mod wipes out the elves really quickly)

Pregnancy complication changes won't work with AGOT, neither will the sickly trait change, although the rest might as I see no apparent conflict. Load BEFORE AGOT if you're going to try. Loading after will definitely break things.

Compatible with AGOT?

@Celticus The issue has now been rectified with the latest [mod] update.

@ACE: CK3 does not support partial event overwrites. If you use a vanilla file, you must include the whole file. This is the standard practice atm. Not including the entire file will actually cause random CTDs on game start for some users. Many overhauls encountered this in the early days of modding CK3 and devs confirmed that the entire vanilla file, using the vanilla name, must be included in mods that edit events.
