You have perhaps not turned on the engine for the other unit. The units are plug and play, all you need to do is turn on the engine and the battery breaker, then couple and you are good to go.

iv coupled 2 158s together and its going really slow do you know what i need to do to fix it

Turn on the battery breaker located in one of the cabs. They are found below the driver seat closest to the passenger compartment door.
