Description
(Updated for the Ways of War DLC / Tiger Patch!)

Overview:
All Defense Modes now extend Zone of Control to only two adidtional adjacent hexes, instead of all adjacent hexes!

Zone of Control is what determines whether a unit can be flanked, and where it can perform Retaliation and Opportunity attacks.
This change will allow units in Defense Mode to be flanked from behind!
Might make unit facing more important and flanking maneuvers more viable!
Is it balanced? Well, that's up to you to decide! ;3

If you want an alternative version where all Defense Modes do not extend Zone of Control at all, you can find it here!


Changes:
  • Defense Mode, Defense Mode - Shield Wall, and Defense Mode - Warding, Defense Mode - Shield Wall, and Defense Mode - Turn to Stone now extend Zone of Control to only two additional adjacent hexes, instead of all adjacent hexes.
  • Ability descriptions of Defense Mode, Defense Mode - Shield Wall, and Defense Mode - Warding, Defense Mode - Shield Wall, and Defense Mode - Turn to Stone have been updated to reflect the above changes.
  • Tooltip descriptions of Defense Mode, Flanking, and Zone of Control have been updated to reflect the above changes.

Changed modified text to better explain that units in Defense Mode can still be flanked from behind.

Played with this mod + your extra retaliations mod for many hours and thoroughly enjoyed it, don't think I can ever go back. Movement speed (and therefore cavalry) become much more important, which makes all of the Wyvern update's new mounted units really shine.

And now that formations are more effective and can be spread wider with less fear of easy flanking, the Industrial culture can do more than just clump into a ball and wait to be beat on!

Thanks for making this, small change that adds a lot to battles.
