Reinforcements from the Shadows

Description
This mod occasionally triggers events to allow your agents to summon powerful minions with unique mechanics as well as developing stats.

Minions
Agents not already have 3 minions can summon minions from the shadows with unique mechanics. Three options available.
  • Cultists - 2 HP, 2 ATK, 2 DEF, 0 Command Points
    Shadow Bringer 1: Increases local shadows by 1% each turn.
  • Nightmare - 15 HP, 15 ATK, 15 DEF, 4 Command Points
    Shadow Bringer 3
    Trample: If this minion kills the opposing minion, excess damage are dealt to the opposing hero.
  • Demon - 39 HP, 39 ATK, 39 DEF, 7 Command Points
    Shadow Bringer 13
    Trample
    Annihilator: If the agent is blocked by the local army, this minion deals damage to the army each turn equal to the minion's power.

Development
Agents have a chance to perpetually increase one of their stats by +2. This can happen X times for each agent. X is equal to 1 plus the number of seals broken and can't be greater than 7.

Other Events
  • Sometimes, an Agent with 6+ Command that enters a human settlement / an elven city / a witch coven at 90%+ shadow finds a chance to build an army at the expense of 90% shadow of the location, or gain 50 gold at the expense of 30% shadow of the location.
  • Sometimes, an Agent with 6+ Intrigue that enters a human settlement / an elven city / a witch coven at 30%+ shadow finds a chance to deploy a bomb at the expense of 30% shadow of the location. Heros may be distracted and attempt to investigate it, and the bomb detonates when they do, dealing a lethal amount of damage to them.
  • Sometimes, an Agent with 6+ Lore that enters a ruin finds a chance to deploy a power conduit at the location. Any Agent may investigate it to earn you 3 power. Heros may also be distracted and attempt to investigate it, causing you to gain 3 power.
  • Sometimes, an Agent with 6+ Might that enters a human settlement / an elven city / a witch coven at 50%+ shadow finds a chance to commence an assault, causing major casualties on the settlement.

you can edit the stats in the minion text file in the mod's folder on your pc

Is there a way to get rid of the minion's defence stats? Way too powerful, even for me, kind of impossible for an agent to die with just a nightmare guarding them.

Love this! Great stuff, does make the game easier but honestly way more fun

Fun for sandbox and just messing around, or playing Big Snake Mommy to unlock the rest of the gods if you had to delete everything and restart the game for a third time.

Not extremely fun if you actually try to play the game properly and not incredibly OP, because it feels more than a bit unearned. Still, 5/5 for sandbox and fucking around possibilities

Played once, became invincible. Nightmares easily kill heroes with armies backing them up. This mod would be really fun if it got heavily nerfed.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. This mod is designed to be much stronger than the base game.

You can increase the difficulty or modify the files for this mod if you wish.

I like this. I really like it- it's awesome to have actual cultists, and brilliant that they increase shadow.

That being said, it's turn 16 in my game and I have two agents and both have two cultists, and both have gained a powerful permanent stat boost.

Could there be something misfiring with another mod? This seems way too powerful for the game where I'm turn 16 and I'm already getting 4 shadow per turn at every location I'm at.

Maybe it'd be good to just turn up the difficulty modifier on my end? lol.

Updated to 2.0 and added some events. Now your agents can make IED and terrorist attacks.
