It's Your Empire

Description
It's your Empire. You should be able to chose when and what lands are added to your Empire. This mod simply makes it so your vassals can't add lands to your realm through war without permission in the realm laws. It also makes it so if you give them permission they only add neighboring lands to your realm.

The reason why this mod was made is to solve an issue with mods that are out of date with no update in sight. One mod seems as it was abandoned and the other is out of date and for some reason it will not work with some mods. Making this mod seems to have fixed the issues I've had with said mods and credit will be given below for the mod files used.

I also updated the mod script to be more up to date.

One thing i've noticed is this mod does not stop the vassals of other vassals from going to war against external duchies or kingdoms to add to their domains. The vassals of your kingdom or Empire probably give them permission to go to war and i'm not sure how to fix that.

Another thing i've noticed is a vassal may go to war on behalf of a wandering noble who may have a claim on a title thus adding more lands to your Kingdom or Empire . Not sure how to fix that either. Any advice is welcome.

Thunder-Bear i see what you mean by vassals getting around admin authority with the theme system. I was wondering why they could declare war. I might have to edit some CBs

Vassal raids could definitely be interesting.

My previous statement is in relation to the recent dlc, Roads to Power as even though the vassals can't declare war due to Admin authority they can get around that by the cb's offered to frontier and naval theme.

I had an idea to stop vassal expansion but still keeping with the frontier style. Instead of a CB for conquest how about the ability to raid instead? whether over land for frontier contract or by sea with the naval?
I believe this could be done by adjusting the vassal contract file. Thoughts?

I have not seen the mod but i could take a look at it. I also probably need to study on how to alter the code more in order to pull it off.

I have a suggestion.

Have you seen the Unjust Rulers mod?

My suggestion is take the mechanics of Unjust Rulers, flip it on it's head - and make "Ruler Strength/Legitimacy has impact!" Depending on how strong the ruler/centralism is, certain folks wouldn't expand their empires. Weak rulers, would have strong vassals who would and did ignore them throughout history. Wars started because of border disputes and territories changing hands more than once.

The mod is updated to 1.10 and above. It could work for 1.9 but i wouldn't know.

Can this mod be used in version 1.9 and a save game?

It does prevent it from what i can tell.

I assume this mod stops ai vassal declaring external wars. But I hope it doesn't prevent ai vassals declaring external wars if their ruler is an ai.
