Description
The terrain is slowly recovering after being altered. The recovery is possible only where there are no obstacles nearby (buildings or debris). The recovery will not happen for terrain that is already altered in the original map. Terrain changed in saved games where the mod was not present will not be recovered neither. The terrain is slowly recovering after being altered. The recovery is possible only where there are no obstacles nearby (buildings or debris). The recovery will not happen for terrain that is already altered in the original map. Terrain changed in saved games where the mod was not present will not be recovered neither.
Depending on the degree of alteration, the terrain should fully recover in about 10 to 20 days. The time required is increased however if there are more areas to be recovered.

There could be visual artefacts at the border between recovering areas and areas that cannot be recovered (obstructed by obstacles).

Update 1.1:
Wild plants regrow after being cut (in about 6 to 10 days). Having more plants to regrow may take longer to trigger though. The same obstructing conditions are active as for those of the terrain recovery (no obstacles around).
Mod options added to disable specific recover modes, if someone wants to keep the plants cut or the soil unchanged.

Update 1.2:
Insect nests are included in the restoration process. For those nests, that already exists on the map when the game is started, the terrain is generated based on the surroundings. The generation requires a new game and will not be triggered for old saved games.

I think this has a bug...the space junk and crashed ship that show up at the start of the game will eventually recover after scavenging fully, but any craters created by space junk later in the game, the craters after scavenging them don't recover at all.

I cannot reproduce the FPS drop. I don't see any difference with and without the mod - my system keeps around 120 FPS in both cases.
If you see stuttering, then use the SAD_CommonLib mod option "Fix Game Stuttering". I hope it helps.

Can confirm that this mod cripples my framerate 4-5 days after either the 1st debris or meteor rain. Before this event I've got a solid 120fps which goes down to about 20fps with stutter. if I disable the mod my fps shoots back up to normal.

Les options sont... optionnelles - tu peux les ignorer

So cool. I was just thinking about this. Didn't understand why forest fields permanently turned the grass into soil even when they're long gone. Will give it this a try :)

That's odd. Pls report a saved game via Ctrl-F1

Long time player here, I'm on a pretty high end system and I started to chug under 40fps (from my usual 90ish) after a couple irl hours on a new seed/game.
I noticed its CPU (not GPU), and can say with some certainty that my FPS issues are gone after uninstalling this (otherwise great) mod.
Not 100% sure if it's a combo of some other mod, I have a few installed but nothing else is terrain related.

That looks awesome! I'm sad that I didn't check mods before starting my current game. My first broken camp location is kinda ugly... But I will definitely try your mod on my next game! Good job!
