Description
The new captain looked at the image of his captain's insignia in the mirror. "Wait until my brother sees this." the captain thought to himself. His brother had been assigned by Novacorp to the Gaia carrier, while he had been left behind in advancement. his little brother, no less. But finally, he had gotten the better posting. Never had he seen a finer ship.

His comlink interrupted his thoughts with a polite beep indicating a request for a connection. "Yes?" He answered.

"Captain, we're receiving the dropship with the new siege tanks."

"Thank you, Ezekiel, please make sure the sub-level ramps are open, we'll need to store them in the lower level with the fighters."

"Yes, sir! We'll make sure to have them ready for inspection within the hour."

"Very good." the captain said closing his comlink and watching the approach of the dropship out his luxurious window.

His thoughts drifted a bit before he said to himself,"This battle will be our finest hour, the Zirax will have no chance once the shield arrays are finished and our tanks arrive. I only wish my brother was here to watch us do what he never could."

Designed in Reforged Eden 1.10 as a highly-upgradable Helios-style Super Carrier. A whole new kind of starter ship, Kurma performs like similar sized carriers but is size 53, CPU T3, Level 15 unlock with no Zascosium Alloy requirements. This carrier was built for the salvager who spends his time pulling apart escape rockets and the like, but has difficulty building experience for blueprints. Most salvage does not include Zascosium Alloy, and this carrier can be built with what you can salvage on various dead planets.

Kurma is designed to carry a maximum of:

- 4x small sized Helios-style modules
- 4x standard-sized Helios-style modules,
- 6x Helios-sized dropships or an additional 6 standard modules

In trials after thruster upgrades, with the 14 empty modules in tow, the Kurma could still escape a 4x gravity planet (albeit slowly). The standard carrier (empty) performs exceptionally in 4x gravity.

The requirements for this carrier are relatively low, since it is primarily carbon and relies on its shield. The shield can be fully upgraded without much loss of maneuverability (due to the placement within the carrier). When upgraded with the CPU-compliant 1st set of drive thrusters, it has a pitch of 22 and a yaw of 22, far superior to any other carrier of this size and capability. It can carry an Arc Revanant and still have better maneuverability than the battleship itself.

The landing deck can carry a vast amount of fighters and capital ships, and the hold has a large amount of space and 2 levels of holds for tanks and fighters. There is a unique boarding ramp system for transferring craft between internal levels.

Besides the unique features, this carrier has numerous aesthetic and practical amenities:

- 6x 320k+ Containers
- 320k Harvest Controller,
- 320k Ammo Controller,
- 54 plot arbor
- 3 Advanced constructors
- Deconstructor
- Multiple Med bays
- Fuel tanks (864k fuel) for 77 days of long term storage (shield, thrusters, weapons, constructors, etc. off) It could easily be tweaked into negative kw for storage.
- Forward Main Bridge with quick access to crafting, hydroponics, medical, and armory.
- Central secure bridge with all the basics in one place for space salvaging: 320k dump box, armor, o2, medical.
- Numerous medical, o2, armor lockers, upper deck access, and control consoles for quick piloting access throughout.
- 8x downward cannon turrets for sieges, expandable to 32.
- 4x deck-mounted miniguns for drones
- Dedicated space for dozens of deck-mounted turrets, including artillery.

Aesthetic:
- Captain's quarters
- 1st mate's quarters
- Officer lounge and pool,
- Barracks,
- Arbor trees,
- Engineer's quarters,
- Engine pod crew quarters
- Aft crew lounge
- walkway access to engine pods

***The Kurma is best spawned in space because of the pre-upgrade medium thrusters. But can venture planetside on 1G planets when carrying less than 400 tons. Stats shown are on a 1.09g planet.***

I am loving your design, haven't found anything to complain about. I did need to do the thruster upgrades pretty quickly, the carried crafts weight started to add up.

Thanks! I appreciate the try! I put a lot of work into her, and I hope you enjoy. Worth saying that getting the thruster upgrades (and necessary CPU upgrades) will be important for a planetside voyage, and there seems to be a new feature where Zirax drones appear immediately when a CV is spawned planetside.

Let me know if I missed textures. I used the symmetry plane, and sometimes it won't actually color certain shapes.
