Description
The Tech Hunters are one of the most underdeveloped factions in Kenshi, yet one of the most important. Several towns are inhabited by them, they run many shops, and they can be found all throughout the world of Kenshi. This mod changed and overhauls them, allowing for player interaction and allowing you to become a Tech Hunter.

The Tech Hunters can be joined at one of their many Tech Hunter Bars throughout the world, although you must complete a task by delving into ruins to obtain an ancient science book in order to prove yourself. Joining them gives you free beds, allies, cheap food, maps, and armor, and cheap yet strong recruits available in Tech Hunter bars.

This mod also adds new ways to make money as a Tech Hunter, adding many new ruins and ancient rubble located throughout the world. Ancient labs, military bases, factories, and more are littered throughout the world. These become more profitable with the new trade culture for Tech Hunters, which makes ancient relics more valuable.

New towns and outposts owned by the Tech Hunter are also added. We have the Tech Hunter Research Site, an ancient ruin studied by Machinists and Tech Hunters. It also creates a second research site, with a small outpost built around and ancient ruined library.
There is also a town known as Dometown, a small ramshackle town build around and ancient dome turned into a bar by Tech Hunters.

This mod also adds a new faction, the Hoarders. These greedy bandits carry large ammounts of treasure and artifacts, hoarding them for their own greed.

Great mod, though i have encountered an issue. I got a treasure map from a downed hoarder leading me to a building along the east side of the 'Arm of Okran' and i cant reach it. It's sitting up on the mountain inaccessible and i think partially phased into the hill. If this mod ever gets an update, pls look into adjusting its spot a bit, thanks!

@the great alfredo I can't seem to find any Tech Hunter Captains! Are there specific places where I'm supposed to find them?

This appears to conflict with the Bounty Hunting for Minor Factions mod, which adds a significant number of buildings in Worlds' End. Sadly!

The Thrall Factory in southern Spider Plains are unable to be entered at all, unsure how to get in

It's also pretty easy to go to a place like a post-ancient workshop which is vacant of any potential enemies to pick up some easy books or any other place such as Burn's tower.
I'd personally recommend that instead of just one ancient science book, research artifacts (besides basic books) give a different amount of reputation (ex: ancient science books give 5, engineering research gives 10, AI cores gives 30).

@the great alfredo It turns out that ancient science books are actually sold at shops, as said by the wiki, "Ancient Science Books are spread out over the world. Several shops in the world do sell them, but very few. Shops that have a chance of selling them are Scraphouse and Travel and Repairs Shop."
I've also seen them rarely at certain shops but that may be due to my mods.

@Izuela It appears to be Functional Market Stalls that causes it, at least for me.

@the great alfredo Ah! It's clearly been too long since I played vanilla Kenshi; I must be using mods that put Ancient Science Books in shops (rarely, mind you). That's my fault.
