Welcome to gm_firststeps. After 400 hours of development, hopefully, it have been worth the wait.

gm_firststeps (formerly known as firstmap2) is my first real map that i made for the source engine. It shows my journey of becoming better at the editor, learning more about mapping and the entities in Garry's Mod. It took over a year to make this map, but in the end - I can say that I'm proud of the result.

gm_firststeps features lots of content, such as...:

-Unlocked hidden player weapons.
-Lots of various areas, like the parking lot, disco room or the sewers.
-Lots of water!
-Mechanisms, such as an escalator and a big fan.
-Big amounts of physics objects.
-A bunch of interactable buttons.
-Developer and other hidden rooms.
-Secrets and more...

This map has following visual effects:

-HDR and LDR lighting.
-Cubemaps.
-Map ambient occlusion.

Also basic ai nodes and navmesh included.

Requires: Half-Life 2: Episode 1 and Episode 2, Counter-Strike:Source.
