Permadeath! by Mafe

Description
As the title say, the mod adds a little new mechanic to the game. Each time an unit of yours dies in combat, a counter is risen. After the third death, an icon will appear over said unit. When you this grave icon over the unit (like in the image above), the next time that unit gets incapped it will suffer a permanent death. They will be removed from you Fleet and they will dissappear, forever! (that is a very long time). All of they items will return to you Stash once they die.

To check how many downs a character has stacked, any action you do while not in combat will show a floating indicator that goes from 0 to 3. If 3, means the next down in combat its gonna be a fatal one.

There are 2 exceptions which cannot suffer from permadeath: You (theplayer actor) and Reeve, for several technical reasons, mostly being tied to lots of in-game events which would cause horrible bugs if you remove them. But the rest of you Crew will be, indeed, succesptible to death!

The mod adds an item to "reset" the death counter of an unit, so they can take 3 more downs again. By mixing a Lattice Seed with an Essence Gem, you can craft this item. Also adds 2 new accesories and a new set of Bone armor and tools that interact with the mod mechanics.

When you have this other mod of mine enabled, it will take priority over this one, so as long you have Crystal Lifes left, you units death counter wont start to grow.

Finally, if you wish to configure the mod options, you can go into the "mods" tab at the pause menu to mess with the options I gave to tweak.

Allright, a bit hacky but I could implement it: While doing a punch attack outside combat, if you keep pressed the ability 12 key while it executes, it allows you to turn the floating indicator off or on. You will see an FX indicating how the states changed.

Not at the moment. I can add an option to toggle it, issue is I have to figure how to make that option trigger. I will think on something.

Is there an option to hide "any action you do while not in combat will show a floating indicator that goes from 0 to 3" ?

Done, exception added. Now if you are on any of the 8 zones used for the Vanilla arena, the mod wont work on those zones only. Thanks you deeply for you feedback Bjardok! I really apreciatte it

Sorry for late answer, I was witouth net. I think I may be able to code some exceptions so the counter doesnt advance if getting incapped in certain zones.

Enjoying the mod so far, but the arena defeats counts towards the death counter, is it fixable?
