Lone Wolf mechanic, by Mafe

Description
This mod adds a new "lone wolf" mechanic to the party. When you party is only made of you player actor, since its the only one you cant remove from you party (note: having all you other allies incapped and having only the player actor alive does NOT count, but also summons wont break the mechanic, like Zoars from the Bathandler) it will gain certain peculiar benefits, after being blessed by the power of God and Anime:

  • You will regenerate HP and MP every turn
  • Negative status effects will be half as effective in you, but positive ones will be 50% more effective
  • You will gain bonus stats
  • The first time you are incapped, you will instantly be revived, but this cannot happen again till a long cooldown has finished

All of the mechanics above scale with the amount of battles that you win while inside this "lone wolf" mode, and will reach its peak after 50 battles have be won this way.

omg so nice! xD I'm so excited I'm tempted to start from the beginning, but I'll stay the course and keep the save file i have, onwards! :) Thank you so much Mafe, you're incredibly professional and an amazing modder. Cheers!

Allright, that took its sweet time but its done. ALL my mods that added a global mechanic will be disabled during the tutorial, just pushed the update for all of those. For older saves, sailing at leasr 1 tile on Eral will be required for re-enabling the mods on those saves but then it will be properly enabled forever. The initial sequence before the tutorial no longer crashes.

Thanks again Kuma! I would have never knew it was an issue witouth you report

What its not on any description, however, is that the effect it uses to remove the water barrels or bottles its one that also checks you crew inventory. So yeah, once the bottles on you Stash have been drained it will start to consume the ones on the inventories of you Crew members. There is no effect that is "drain only from stash" so it is what it is. Another thing is that, due to a bug (fixed on the actual beta btw, a base game update is coming) if you put the bottles or barrels inside a container like a chest the game stops recognizing you have those, since the check up math has (had, since has been fixed on beta) a bug that makes it not work on containers. Those are the only things I can think off.

Gonna push a patch in some minutes, thanks a lot for you report Kuma! And the kind words too, really apreciatte them :D

Allright, gave those things a shot. In order @KumaCat :
A-) For this mod itself, yeah, didnt knew it crashed the tutorial either since I skip it too, lol. I dont know what causes it to break but I know another way to fixing it up, disabling the mod entirly until you actually land on Eral. I am gonna also implement a disable for all my other mods that add global mechanics while on the tutorial, just in case.
B-) The Hunger and Thirst mod, just gave it a try cause I am pretty sure it does work, and in fact, water draining while on the overworld does work. I didnt published it on the modding channels (I think), but the water drinking while sailing got reworked a while ago and now works based on a meter (that you can see over you ship) instead of being a fixed value all the time, once it reaches 10 it resets and you crew will drink water. (continues in next comment)

Hi there!
I didn't know exactly where to post this, but here we go:
I'm not sure, but I think this mod breaks the first tutorial fight against the pirates. Recently my game deleted it's "completed" condition (don't ask me why), so I played the tutorial and discovered that... been so used to skipping it, didnt't notice it before lol.
Also, not related to this mod, but Hunger and Thirst seems to be somewhat broken (?) too... might be my file only, but the water bottle quantities are not decreasing when sailing in the world map.
Anyways, rant's over! :) Thank you for your hard work Mafe, you made almost like a new game from vanilla, I'm grateful!

Thank you.

Nah, the healing lacks an element so it wont hurt Undeads and it will be able to heal actors immune to Life element healing since it lacks any element. It does get affected by modifiers to HP, like Essence Conversion passive and the Life neackle accessory tho.

Will this mod hurt your undead mod since it regens hp?

Ok thanks!

The mechanic only turns on when you party is composed only by the player actor, no one else. When you have a normal party it just doesnt have any effect. This mod also does not touch exploration or anything else, yes, you can keep building fleets with crew as always and play as always. The only thing mod adds is a mechanic for when you deploy party size is 1, and since the only actor you can have on said instance is the player, it only works for that entity only. That is it.

The mod only exists cause I tought it would be funny to have the option to do some kind of lone wolf roleplay, hence the name. In practice, is not that broken beside free revive but its an interesant experience, IMO.
