Bug Defense Scenario (Requires Weaponcore to work) (Outdated)

Description
Your help is needed!

An outpost on an alien world is under attack by swarms of giant alien bugs!

Your job is to defend the outpost for as long as possible!

Use up to 26 different turret types to defend the base!

Push the enemy back with 24 different vehicles.

Defeat 20 different enemy types in 40 waves of absolute chaos!


This scenario supports multiplayer and singleplayer. There are enough guns to support over 100 players if you think that's a good idea.

This scenario has at least 3.5 hours of gameplay (not accounting for sim speed drops)

You can play this scenario in survival (default) if you want a challenge or play in creative for infinite ammo and resources.

The only mods absolutely necessary for the scenario to function are:
- Instant Projector
- BattleTech WC Pack 0.9
- Nanobot Build and Repair System

All the rest are quality of life additions that make it easier to play/ less laggy.

Note: All grids that lose power in this scenario will despawn, preventing excessive lag from debris and destroyed enemies.

Caution:

THIS SCENARIO IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR LOW END MACHINES.

YOUR GAME WILL CRASH IF YOUR COMPUTER CANNOT HANDLE IT.


Special Note: This scenario is currently outdated - It still works, but several parts of the scenario are not working as intended including a few enemy types not spawning and some small bugs (pun intended)

A remake of this scenario is planned with far more content and revamped features

It was hosted backthen, but as a server event and was nowhere near as polished as this is -

I will note: If you want to play this scenario, you will need to add weaponcore to the world for it to function.

I will do a remaster of this scenario with a bunch of new features eventually (And I am working on 2 other scenarios in the meantime)

I am aware that there is currently an issue with the scenario not starting/working properly because of changes with weaponcore.

Here is a fix: Start the scenario, and after it fails to load, go to the created world and add weaponcore 2.4 from the mod list. It will load and function properly afterwards.

I will eventually implement a 2.0 Fix with several upgrades to the scenario to make it more fun and function a lot better.

I am also working on an entirely new scenario, so stay tuned for updates on that.

I could add images of all the enemies, but that would be a big spoiler. I think its more fun to find out what kind of enemies your fighting once you get there :)

I worked on Metal Gear Rex and built it to scale, but the script I use for mechs does not work with pistons, so I was unable to get the walk cycle to function properly.
