Description
"Commander! A few... missing... protesters from a few years ago related to the Olympics incident seem to have entered in contact with us, they appear to be previous competitors, and want to join XCOM. If we decide to accept, our Rangers might be able to exchange a few tricks, it would be of great benefit."


General

This is a rare primary specialization, heavily based on mobility and action economy. Trading potential Max Health, Dodge and Aim for absurd amounts of mobility and action-related skills.


Skills

Squaddie
  • Implacable: Gain a movement action after killing an enemy.
Corporal, Lieutenant deck
  • Combat Fitness: Gives +1 Mobility, 2 HP, 4 Dodge and 4 will.
  • Marathon Runner: Spend 2 actions to gain 3 movement actions.
  • Marathon & Gun: Gain a non-movement action, can't be used the same turn as Run and Gun.
  • Predator: Gain +15 aim and 10 crit against flanked targets.
  • Impulse: Gain +10 aim and crit if you moved.
Sergeant:
  • Marauder: Standard shots are no longer turn ending.
Captain, Major, Colonel deck:
  • Flash Fire: A free action shot that has -20 aim and disorients on hit.
  • Dedication: Free action, gain 4 mobility and Shadowstep for this turn.
  • Run and Gun: Gain a non-movement Action, can't be used the same turn as Marathon & Gun.
  • Lone Wolf Pack: Gain 20 defense within 5 tile radius, also gain 2 sight radius.
  • Hunter's Instinct: Gain +3 dmg against flanked targets.
  • Bare Knuckle increases damage by 2, and further by 1 by every 2 levels the unit current has, up to 6 at brigadier.
  • Dogpile make this unit attempt a reaction fire on every time an ally attack an adjacent enemy. Once per enemy per turn.
  • Survival Instinct gives 30 defense and 50 dodge while wounded.
Brigadier deck:
  • Over Exertion: Gain 1 general action, 1 turn cooldown, 2 uses per mission.
  • Hidden Reserves: Reduces all cooldowns to 0, one use per mission.
  • Untouchable: After killing an enemy, become immune to the first attack on the enemy turn.


Balance and Ideology

This is supposed to be a pretty simple, but strong specialization.
They are supposed to be fragile, but extremely capable of getting close-range against priority targets, and being able to escape, from afar, they are a exaggerated version of LWOTC/Amalgamation Assaults and base game Rangers, except without the reactions and Concealment.


Compatibility and Required Mods

Should be compatible with anything compatible with amalgamations, I guess?
Required perk packs are necessary for most of the perks, not having them would result in blanks.

Well, this is my first... Kind of mod, more like config work, but well! If there are any questions, conflicts and bugs, I would like to read about it.

Thanks, also, for all modders out there! Wouldn't be here if I wasn't, myself, a fan of playing modded Xcom, and didn't have any basis to play around, like Amalgamation, A Better Barracks, ShadowOps, Surpluss Class Icons and many, many others. Also you! For trying and playing with this class.

Update on the previous: now that I looked at the files closer it looks like it's the Shock Trooper that is needed but missing from the requirements list.

Potential issue: unless I missed something "AS_Relocation" from "Marathonist8" deck seems to not be present in any of the perk packs this mod or base Amalgamation have as required.
