Kobolds are a race of small, draconic humanoids. Though other 'more civilized' societies see kobolds as low, stupid savages, they are cunning, crafty, and capable.

Pros:

- Draconic ancestry has made them somewhat resistant to toxins and pollutants.
- Their ancestors were of the caves, and mining is in their blood. Take a bonus to mining speed.
- Less whiny. Mental break threshold is lowered.
- Small and wily. They're more stealthy when hunting.
- Need less sleep.
- Dextrous and used to tending injuries due to propensity for trouble. Medical tend bonus.

Neutral:

- Smaller than other races but also more dextrous. All in all, this means they tend to move about the same speed.
- Ravenous eaters; they stuff their faces with food far faster than other races.

Cons:

- Not stupid, but they struggle with organizing notes and taking the time to write them. Take a penalty to research.
- Live shorter lives, coming to maturity at 14 and living until 60 on average.
- Smaller frame means they can carry less.
- Bottomless pit for food. Draconic ancestry has cursed kobolds with gnawing hunger; they need to eat more than normal for their size.
- Messy. Filth rate is higher.
- Have difficulty sitting still and learning something. Lower global learning rate.

Kobolds currently know how to make 10 custom pieces of armor and 5 weapons, but they're familiar with other weaponry and armor.

Aedhix's changelog:

Version 2023.10.04.0: Added some armors, rebalanced backstories, etc.

- I don't have specifics at the moment, but there were some new armors and things added. Enjoy.

Version 2023.09.10.0: Rebalanced some stats.

- Increased research speed from 0.25 to 0.8
- Increased medical tend quality to 1.2
- Increased amount of food needed per day
- Increased mining speed and hunting stealth to 130%
- Increased life expectancy to 60 years (also changed life stage settings to account for this)

- Decreased movement speed to base humanoid speeds (kobolds are smaller than humans and not particularly fast)
- Decreased toxic resistance (both) to 0.3
- Decreased psychic resistance to 0 (base humanoid)
- Decreased mental break threshold to 0.28 (harder to have mental breaks)

- Removed multiplying factors for carrying capacity, leather, and meat -- now dictated fully by body size

- Rewrote the base kobold description to be more aligned with the rest of the mod.

The mod nobody asked for has finally arrived, Kobolds have managed to land in the harsh world of RimWorld and they're ready to steal and loot to their heart's content. These feisty little lizards come in many different colors and are (probably) a worthy addition to any colony good or bad.


UPCOMING FEATURES IN PATCH 0.2
📦 FURNITURE
⠀⠀⠀⠀• Two beds, one leather & one stone.
⠀⠀⠀⠀• Seats and chairs.
⠀⠀⠀⠀• Decoration for your kobold clan.
⠀⠀⠀⠀• One or two traps for protection.
🧱 MATERIAL
⠀⠀⠀⠀• Bone material to build furniture / weapons & Armor.


This mod currently comes with 10 armor pieces & 5 weapons that can only be worn by Kobolds, on top of this, they can also equip any non-Kobold exclusive armor as well!


⚠️ What do kobolds offer, as a race?
here i will list some comparison to a normal human pawn!

• Can eat any food, even rotten things.
⠀⠀⠀⠀They can rarely however, get sick from rotten or bad food.
⠀⠀⠀⠀This includes other kobolds.
• Hauls less.
• Moves faster.
• Very bad at researching.
• Very bad at medical.
• Will be okay with sleeping on the ground.
• Recovers faster from disease.
• Doesn't care about a whole lot.
⠀⠀⠀⠀Won't feel bad for selling prisoners.
⠀⠀⠀⠀Won't even care about dead (or rotting) bodies.
⠀⠀⠀⠀Being naked is no big deal for a kobold
• Will wear anything, clothing is clothing no matter where it came from.


Q: Are you planning on adding more armors or weapons?
A: As of the time of this upload, no. But it might be a goal for the future.

Q: Will this be CE compatible?
A: I do not use CE, but feel free to make a patch for it if desired!

[WARNING]

This mod will soon be moved over to @ LimeTreeSnake's steam workshop, as he is the main programmer!
That way, it will be MUCH easier to fix and add in future content.

Don't fret if it disappears, i will keep this mod up with a "outdated" tag once that day comes and link to the new version!

I really enjoyed this mod, but I can understand the work that goes into it. Don't feel too rushed to get it done. Even if it takes months, we'll be able to live without it until then

Hey man, quick question. Do the Kobolds have less growth moments than normal? Cuz for me it seems year 10 growth moment was the last one.

I'm really sorry for the fact that I haven't devoted time and energy to this mod. I think that I'll update it this weekend, but only to baseline functionality for the newest RimWorld update.
