If you want to have an easier time making Atmosphiric Thrusters, I made a Special Variant Removing the need for Metal grids on those parts specificly.

It was this mod that motivated me to make this. Since it was a lil behind updates, I decided to just go ahead and make a fix originally, but it turned into just redoing it all to keep the Blueprints from breaking in game.
