Description
Built for planetary and space engagements, the Sovereignia Mk2 is the further advances interstellar carrier tech. Capable of ferrying space and atmospheric crafts in a spacious through designed main hangar, the Sovereignia offers easy launching and docking with 3 starboard/port main exits, a traditional front exit, and a rear main entryway. Unlike its predecessor, the Sovereignia Mk2 is cable of housing a HILACAN in a dedicated bay as well. With its adjustable docking pylons in the main hangar, flight deck, and forward docking pads, the Sovereignia is more than capable of quickly rearming ships of all kinds.
Bosting a secondary hangar designed for land vehicles, the Sovereignia can take the fight to the surface of both planets and moons alike. Send in troops beforehand to clear an LZ or bombard a planet with the multipurpose drop pod bay and Long Range Missile tubes. Built with invasion support in mind, the Sovereignia Mk2 also comes equipped with an increased size in crew quarters and officers’ quarters, to house a full compliment of your faction. Need to coordinate before the attack? Not a problem. With her mission briefing room, conference room, and armory, victory is as simple as planning.
To defend itself, the Sovereignia Mk2 has been upgraded with the current options of military hardware including railguns, artillery cannons, and assault cannons. Utilizing a tilting thruster system, the Sovereignia Mk2 can support greater weight with less thrusters while entering and exiting plant atmosphere.

Ensure the landing gear has the "autolock" on before landing. Otherwise crushing the landing gear may happen due to the weight of the ship.

Lol Okay yeah the hydrogen is definitely better. The advantage of the flat thrusters is they way somewhere near a 3rd the weight but also produce a 1/3 less the thrust compared to the standard atmo thruster, while also requiring significantly less resources.

um, actually those things friggin suck compared to the older ones, it took 36 of them to equal 80% of the 16 H2 thrusters that you put there

well, I added my own, but hey, your setup can act as a backup if the power supply gets too low so I don't go splat :D (also your method looks better lol)

Yeah I was trying to over come a problem with the first one. You need enough down facing thrusters so you don't splat on the ground. But I didn't want to add so many that is a brick of thrusters. I've experimented with tilt rotor aircraft so I tried using tilting thrusters to utilize the left and right thrusters so I could use less of them. Seems to work so far.

And they're not meant to tilt down fully. They're meant to tilt at a 45 degree angle to control the ship while in atmo flight so you don't slide sideways suddenly.

Use the thruster options on the hot bar to overide the thrusters while they're in the tilt position. Using the overide you can manually control the accent and decent speed that way.

hey, fair's fair, question on the tilt thrusters, are they supposed to do something while in the angled position and locked? cause they don't seem to wanna do much if anything when in atmo mode (looks like they were meant to tilt down fully, but they don't)
