Still if the helmets had see through visors they would have been completely see through like the recon helmet. At least that's how I feel about it. It makes more sense that it has an internal display screen while the rest of the helmet is completely sealed off for maximum protection, at least that is my head cannon. I don't know what Ludeon's actual intentions were with the helmet as it's quite the odd looking thing regardless. If I made those parts see through the entire thing would be mostly just see through helmet which I think would look kind of weird too. I'll consider giving it a try and see how it looks when 1.6 rolls around. No promises though.
Anyway, I have always believed the yellow part in cataphract helmets was like military grade yellow tinted glass. Like a space suit helmet.
Will be updated to 1.6 as soon as I get my hands on the DLC.
As for the vac suit, I'll have to see but if it makes sense then yes they will get the same treatment.
I had considered it but in my imagination the cataphract helmet does not have a visor. It has an internal display of what is happening on the outside. What part would be the visor in your imagination if I may ask?
I don't see why it wouldn't be?
At the very least it won't crash your game. It's just textures.
