Description
It is my intention to survive as an aerospace engineer.

I have played several survival mods, but I wasn't able to find one that suited me, so I decided to modify it myself.

Gameplay:
You have to eat, drink, and sleep. Great, right? Eat a lot of bad food (emergency food), and you'll start feeling bad soon. If you vomit, you will lose food, water, and a bit of health. Watch the bar between food and water. Maybe you'll need to go to the toilet or rest in bed? And don't try to stay awake the whole night—micro-sleep could occur.
The screen gets black lines, and you can't see anything.

Basic mods:
  • Eat. Drink. Sleep. Repeat! Link
  • Plant and Cook Link
  • Pressurize Your Room! Link
  • Life'Tech-Algaetechnology (Eng/De/Es) Link


Additions:
  • Survival kit is not able to refill health, H2 or O2
  • Removed emergency Kit -> Survival Kit is able to produce water and emergency ratio
  • Some blocks like MedicalRoom, Kitchen, Planters ... working only pressurized
  • Kitchen with conveyors
  • Composter as Assembler
  • A lot of blocks lose the ability to disasemble (Composter, Kitchen, Farms etc.)
  • A value for stomach contents, if you stick at emergency food it will be no fun
  • You do not die if you are tired, you simply fell asleep ;)
  • Vending Machine for AdminUse

Other great ideas:
  • Do you want to get your empty tin can back? (try this Mod )

Quality of live features:
  • G-menu ready @contact update

ToDo:
  • Nexus integration (should work)
  • Custom HUD integration
  • Contact update mini kitchen
  • Check if small grid toilet works

Known-Issues:
  • Custom space suits can cause exceptions. They do not support added values.
  • Any HUD Mod will end in an exception -> DO NOT USE HUD MODS ( >> you need a compatible HUD)
  • Any modded suits could break the game >> need to be compatible with stats
  • Survival kit is mirrored (won't get fixed)

Dev note
I am really excited about the latest livestream announcement! Finally, Keen is tapping into survival mechanics.
This mod is currently on hold. I have a lot of ideas for new features, but they could become obsolete. Let’s wait until Keen releases the next big update (in about 4-5 months?). I will take a look at it and see if it fits hardcore gameplay.

Here are my current ideas:
  • You are not able to eat in a vacuum.
  • There are space suit meals and drinks for use in a vacuum.
  • You receive a buff while seated (not in the cockpit / cryo).
  • You receive a debuff while seated in the cockpit (drink and drive? could be set in relation to speed).
  • You receive a debuff while eating soup and not seated.

...and finally, if anyone is able to provide assets (blocks/objects), you are welcome! There is still a need for a coffee plantation or other fancy items!

Under the list of "basic mods," are these REQUIRED mods?
I ask because this mod doesn't have any required mods listed.
It would also help to provide a functioning load order for the set.

For example, people are saying unknown signals don't spawn produce.
That's because the load order from top to bottom would normally look like this:
- Plant and Cook
- Eat. Drink. Sleep. Repeat!
- Life Tech Algae
- Tiamat Food, Beverages +

Assuming you're running those mods, of course.
Where does this mod fit in that list?

Remember, Plant and Cook must be above the others to ensure unknown signals get their loot lists for Plant and Cook. I had the same issue, and that fixed it. Haven't heard of Pressurize Your Room until today. I pressurize all my stuff anyway, mostly for immersion's sake.

the only food im able to get is the Prepackaged in drop or Mushroom and algea wich you can make

Testing EDSRa with IO Compat, can confirm it also works and likely has similar issue with locked and loaded. No crashes on the conditions of die, respawn, die, respawn in new ship after removing survival kit.

Nope I go all vanilla hud for various reasons I thought it was text hud, but it turned out its not the things that add widgets to huds like aerodynamic physics, or advanced welding, 70 minutes to incrementally loading in mods starting with industrial overhaul and EDSR (I use the fixed plant and cook and just the three mods and not the algae mod though the existing EDSR patch has been reported to work on both advanced and standalone mods with fixed plant and cook)

I narrowed it down to Lock and Load (so far) only tested where I knew there were crashes and it causes CTD on death, respawn screen and even simple automatic respawn.

Your sure you do not use a custom interface?

So, I get funny crashes trying to load the separate mods this compiles with the industrial overhaul integration, does this have a compat patch?
