Description
"Just another fun day at the B.M.R.F, man."

The staff of Black Mesa and the HECU have some glaring issues that can show their age at times. Whether it be visually or internally, they deserve some fixes and tweaks made to them. Black Mesa Staff Revamp (BMSR) is an attempt to fix and improve the human NPCs countered throughout the campaign.

That's cool and all, but what does it include?

The mod includes:
  • Improved physics and better hitboxes.
  • Fixes and Improvements to NPC textures and models.
  • Additional accessories and improved variety among NPCs.

Here's a list of possible questions that you might have:
  1. Is this a mod for Black Mesa Character Expansion (BMCE)?
A: No, this mod is its own thing but it does include fixes and improvements from the mod.
  2. What's the difference between this mod and other NPC mods, like BMCE?
A: This mod aims to keep everything base game, so you won't see things like maintenance workers, office workers, etc. Though, additional accessories from Black Mesa: Blue Shift have been added for consistency.
  3. Does this mod allow for reskin compatibility?
A: Kind of. Some NPCs have been given new textures and models that would make some incompatible.
  4. Is this mod compatible with "X" mod?
A: While I can tell you if a mod is or isn't compatible, you should figure it out yourself before asking.

If you like BMSR and you want it for Blue Shift, check out the mod HERE

Yes, the mod works with BMSC

Does the mod still works with BMS Classic? I just noticed that in previous update there was a 357 guard fix, that mod wasnt quite working with such mods like BMS Classic

Strange, seems it's only happening to me.

Last I checked, the guy is the same one who admires himself and I haven't touched him at all

Yeah uh, one thing i noticed is that this mod breaks some coding the game uses to force specific NPC variants to be spawned.

In Anomalous Materials, there's supposed to be a scientist looking at himself in propaganda images in a hallway, but this mod breaks it, and turns the scientist into a completely different guy, creating inconsistencies between the images he's featured in and reality.

I like it when things are exclusive to one thing to keep it special, as well as keeping it for the vanilla heads who don't want a bunch of extra models and seeming bloated.

If you adding accessories from Blue Shift for consistency, why you wont also add staff from the same game? Its just pretty paradoxic that gears and other stuff that you add is appearing, but at the same time, the personnel from the same game dont appear at least in places that are logical for them, such as: warehouse, railway tracks, lambda core system, etc. Its just a question
