LORE: Decades before the war, when Metalburg's economic fall was not that steep yet, the Diplocaulus was built for a secret mission: to dive into the deep trenches under the island to hunt for what was just a legend, but the possibility of its existence terrorized the Duke: the Giant. The Olden Prophecy told of a Jötunn who dove in search of its lost treasure and would one day rise to destroy its thieves. The Diplocaulus' figurehead mimicked the rumored appearance of the giants (a wide triangular head) to lure the prey out to kill it. But the expedition found no giant, Captain Judas Dunne reported. Some did not trust him, though. The triangular scar on his right wrist raised suspicions. He claimed, however, that a big pocket of Luckyman's Iron was found in the deep, but tectonic readings showed that mining it was strongly unadvised... and that, unbeknownst to all, was foreshadowing.
