Tutelage Overturned

Description
This mod is devoted to a full rework of the vanilla system of child personality events.

In my opinion these events were severely limited by their uniform structure, lack of responsiveness, repretiteveness and reasonable interactions with stress, both for children and adults. This mod addresses all of the above issues:

- events are no longer uniform (three traits, must pick one), with answers depending on realistic reactions a child or an adult might have
- player (and ai, for that matter) is no longer constrained by the 3 arbitrary options provided by the game
- repetition of same events for the same child is forbidden
- stress is now properly awarded not only for challenging child event outcome, but depends on the approach the guardian character takes and how it suits their personality

Compatible with any mod which does not affect children personality events

English loc only

---

This mod is a standalone part of my REvents mod, reworking other events of the game to make it more grounded and somber in tone. Check it out at https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2976674003

Gotcha. Anyway I disabled most of my other mods, but I still sometimes get the same issue with children not gaining the Compassionate trait. My daughter was given Callous, I told her to change her ways, I received a message saying she gained Compassionate, but nothing changed. I'm fairly certain none of my other mods could affect this but there's always the possibility.

@Rakdos72 this is sometimes intended (a child can get no trait from their initial event)

Appreciate the work! Small update: Even without mods, sometimes I will get a ward event where I can choose "they do not change their ways" despite the event itself not giving them any personality trait. Next time it happens I will screenshot.

@De Mon I think the issue might(?) be with the Infinite Wards mod, it's the only explanation I can think of. I wonder if issues arise when giving personality traits to wards beyond the second. I'm playing a run now without that mod and I'll see what happens

@Rakdos72 sorry for a late (and maybe disappointing reply, but I was not able to determine the source of the problem). Are you sure that the message did not say something about "partially changing their outlook". In any case, I can try to do a deeper search, if you give me specific details of the event (i.e. what it is about)

@Rakdos72, thanks, I will get back to you as soon as I can

It happened with the callous event on a rowdy boy. I clicked the option that tried to make him compassionate, the pop up event said he changed his ways, but he was still callous. I don't have any other mods which would change personality events, but I can try again with no mods at all.

@Rakdos72 I will happily look into it! If ypu can, give me a specific trait when it happens please

Sometimes when I try to get a ward to change their personality, it won't change even though the pop up message says I rolled successfully
