Gotcha. Anyway I disabled most of my other mods, but I still sometimes get the same issue with children not gaining the Compassionate trait. My daughter was given Callous, I told her to change her ways, I received a message saying she gained Compassionate, but nothing changed. I'm fairly certain none of my other mods could affect this but there's always the possibility.
De Mon  [author] 19 Nov, 2024 @ 2:47pm
@Rakdos72 this is sometimes intended (a child can get no trait from their initial event)
Rakdos72 19 Nov, 2024 @ 11:10am
Appreciate the work! Small update: Even without mods, sometimes I will get a ward event where I can choose "they do not change their ways" despite the event itself not giving them any personality trait. Next time it happens I will screenshot.
Rakdos72 19 Nov, 2024 @ 9:43am
@De Mon I think the issue might(?) be with the Infinite Wards mod, it's the only explanation I can think of. I wonder if issues arise when giving personality traits to wards beyond the second. I'm playing a run now without that mod and I'll see what happens
De Mon  [author] 15 Nov, 2024 @ 9:02am
updated for 1.14
De Mon  [author] 15 Nov, 2024 @ 8:42am
@Rakdos72 sorry for a late (and maybe disappointing reply, but I was not able to determine the source of the problem). Are you sure that the message did not say something about "partially changing their outlook". In any case, I can try to do a deeper search, if you give me specific details of the event (i.e. what it is about)
De Mon  [author] 24 Oct, 2024 @ 4:00pm
@Rakdos72, thanks, I will get back to you as soon as I can
Rakdos72 24 Oct, 2024 @ 5:55am
It happened with the callous event on a rowdy boy. I clicked the option that tried to make him compassionate, the pop up event said he changed his ways, but he was still callous. I don't have any other mods which would change personality events, but I can try again with no mods at all.
De Mon  [author] 24 Oct, 2024 @ 2:12am
@Rakdos72 I will happily look into it! If ypu can, give me a specific trait when it happens please
Rakdos72 23 Oct, 2024 @ 4:32pm
Sometimes when I try to get a ward to change their personality, it won't change even though the pop up message says I rolled successfully
Necromancer4Life 17 Oct, 2024 @ 10:37pm
Ah, many thanks!
De Mon  [author] 15 Oct, 2024 @ 9:13am
@Necromancer4Life yup, everything is there! I also plan to update REvents soon for the 1.13
Necromancer4Life 14 Oct, 2024 @ 10:09pm
I've been using this mod for a long time and only recently discovered REvents, are all of Tutelage Overturned's features in that mod?
De Mon  [author] 25 Jun, 2024 @ 1:59am
@liam170506 I believe it should work in principle, but it does not have the new agot traits incorporated
liam170506 24 Jun, 2024 @ 10:11pm
I know you probably get the question often, but does it work with AGOT? I dont know if the AGOT touches education at all.
De Mon  [author] 17 Jun, 2024 @ 11:35am
@mozes do you run any other mods which impact child education?
mozes 17 Jun, 2024 @ 7:05am
for some reason i have a lot of people in the world end up with 7 or even more traits. In every game i start ... just quit my last one because my heir had 12!!! traits
De Mon  [author] 30 Mar, 2024 @ 2:04pm
@Etshy yeah, I have a safety net system which brings up the number of traits up to three around 15 years of age if it was below that

@Dean Dingus, thanks for stepping in and explaining! You are mostly right, but the extra traits are actually based on the child's main personality (like bossy or pensive)
Dean Dingus 30 Mar, 2024 @ 1:42pm
Yeah, that was my set up for a long time. This mod is a good way to mix things up.
Etshy 30 Mar, 2024 @ 1:23pm
Oh nice.
I'll try the mod again then.
I tried Improved Personality Formation System + New Personality Events for Children an it works great even though it's the vanilla system.
Dean Dingus 30 Mar, 2024 @ 9:32am
@Etshy I'm not the mod author but I can answer from what experienced so far! If your ward gets to around 15 without 3 traits there will be an event that adds traits to the ward that seem to be determined by what choices you made for them in their education. I've had a ward only have 1 trait and they got 2 from the event. So don't be scared to choose an option that just removes a trait and doesn't add another!
Etshy 30 Mar, 2024 @ 8:25am
I have another questions.
As there are event that make you lose trait without granting another one, is it possible to end childhood with no traits ? or less than three ?
On the other hand, is it possible to end with more than 3 traits ?
I only took kinda safe choices for now.

This mod is brilliant! Thank you for the great work!
Etshy 24 Mar, 2024 @ 1:47pm
guess I'm just unlucky, like in vanilla or other mods that change child event because I always got the same crappy trait event xD
De Mon  [author] 24 Mar, 2024 @ 1:18pm
@Etshy, traits are indeed not related to education focus, just like in vanilla. The events you get are random. I would like to look at such events in the new version of the mod though, thanks for the idea
Etshy 24 Mar, 2024 @ 11:19am
I'm not really sure but I feel like the traits proposed are not realted at all to the education focus.
On about 10 child I educated focused on martial I never had Brave or Wriathful, but often had Shy, Generous or gregarious.
It seems a bit off.
De Mon  [author] 24 Mar, 2024 @ 12:35am
@Polka , thanks! Tutelage is mostly on maintenance mode, but I will hopefully do more for the main mod
Polka 23 Mar, 2024 @ 5:51pm
glad to see the mod still worked on :D
De Mon  [author] 17 Mar, 2024 @ 1:29am
@PhantomImmortal , cheers, I will fix that
PhantomImmortal 16 Mar, 2024 @ 11:03pm
Hey, great mod! Wanted to give a heads up, there's a typo in "Entrenched Suspicion", it says "There recently has been a new hire among the *gardedners*..."
-=Illumifant=- 13 Mar, 2024 @ 3:46pm
Yes thats the one.
I'll have a look into my composition tomorrow, maybe I can find something.
Thank you for your support anyways! Greatly appreciated :)
De Mon  [author] 13 Mar, 2024 @ 3:35pm
@-=Illumifant=- I've tried the better ai education (this one https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2753934263 ) with tutelage, and it worked fine for me, so I'm not really sure what's the problem
-=Illumifant=- 13 Mar, 2024 @ 3:24pm
Thank you very much!
From the top of my head, maybe it is the "Quality of Life Game Rules" mod, as it has a rule for keeping the childhood trait, but I havent checked that one yet
De Mon  [author] 13 Mar, 2024 @ 3:18pm
@-=Illumifant=- I'll check it on my end, will let you know if anything comes out of it
-=Illumifant=- 13 Mar, 2024 @ 2:32pm
No character has any personality traits, haha :D
I have some other mods installed, but they are even further "away" from what this mod touches
De Mon  [author] 13 Mar, 2024 @ 2:21pm
@-=Illumifant=- , huh, that's weird. How does this incompatibility manifest?
-=Illumifant=- 13 Mar, 2024 @ 2:20pm
So I played a bit and tested it on a dummy save now, but it seems they are sadly not compatible, even though I cant find why, as both mods (as far as I can see) dont touch the same .txts.
-=Illumifant=- 13 Mar, 2024 @ 7:50am
Nice, thank you for the fast reply! :)
De Mon  [author] 13 Mar, 2024 @ 7:50am
@-=Illumifant=- , it should be as far as I know
-=Illumifant=- 13 Mar, 2024 @ 7:47am
Is this mod compatible with the "Better AI Education" mod?
De Mon  [author] 6 Mar, 2024 @ 1:50am
Updated the mod for 1.12.1
HeirandtheSpare 6 Jan, 2024 @ 10:34am
Thanks!
De Mon  [author] 6 Jan, 2024 @ 1:37am
@HeirandtheSpare I'll look into making it a gamerule, maybe! Thanks for the suggestion
HeirandtheSpare 5 Jan, 2024 @ 8:43pm
Can you add a feature that allows for 4 wards, instead of just 2? That would be wonderful.
De Mon  [author] 4 Jan, 2024 @ 7:33am
@heilgranit, thanks for bringing this to my attention! If you could let me know which mod did it via some kind of command, I will be happy to check it out myself. However, it seems that the only proper way is to go and manually change the language files, as outlined here for example:

https://www.reddit.com/r/CrusaderKings/comments/14v1a6d/mod_language/

I will try to include some kind of a patch for this in the next mod update
heilgranit 4 Jan, 2024 @ 7:06am
in german version there is no text but only the .txt error. I have seen it in other mods that dont support german but you can turn if off by writing a command that displays the english text no matter what language version you use. i forgot the command but there is definietly one as a other mod made it that way some time ago. could you enforce english usuage in your mod too?
De Mon  [author] 1 Jan, 2024 @ 2:42am
A quick update - after hearing some feedback, I have enforced at least 3 resulting traits for children.
De Mon  [author] 17 Dec, 2023 @ 2:17am
@keenonthedaywalker happy to hear that and I am looking forward to getting more stuff done - my next ambition is to redo holding the court :)
keenonthedaywalker 16 Dec, 2023 @ 10:39am
@De Mon Hey man, thanks for the response. Been playing the Tutelage Overturned mod with the AGOT mod and it works perfectly. I'll be keeping an eye on your projects :albino_trait:
