Remagen

My first bridge map that takes a simple approach trying to maintain the action on the bridge. Based on the original Ludendorff Bridge that crosses the Rhine River around Remagen, Germany. Like most of my maps the map is based more on the location and may conflict with playability but of course I always welcome and I'm always open to any comments or suggestions here on the official COH III discord.

As this is a bridge map please bare with some of COH III's editor's limitations. You can build on the bridge, and the current assets available (that also work as intended) have limited some of the full aesthetics but generally allow the implementation of a bridge over water. Be careful blocking pathing as again this is a bridge map with fully buildable assets for the bridge surface.

Plans for future updates do include targeting the bridge surface and trying to find working or newly added assets from the editor that allow a fix to the current bridge surface that hides the unit cover visual overlays as the asset for bridge surfaces that act accordingly are not the most eye appealing as well as separate releases of team defense maps. Great map but on team 2 slot 2 HQ position the training centre is built outside the map preventing it from being destroyed and stopping the round from ending. Tested this with both British and Afrika Korps units. Myself and a buddy played a 1hour40min round and couldn't complete the round because we couldn't destroy the last building..

Looks beautiful! I don't know if it's the fog or light effects but it really destroys my fps...
Place less cover and items in base sector and capture points (on the bridge it's fine) to make it easier to build structures/caches and capture the points. I think the bases are too far from the bridge... and I wouldn't make the buildings garrison-able, so AI won't waste time sitting MGs in them covering nothing. But the map does look good! Slightly wider bridge would be good! Cheers

Hey mate, awesome map. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Just a few things from being perfect.
1. Tanks can bunnyhop up onto the start of the bridge, rather than use ramp.
2. Units can shoot from underneath the bridge through to units that are on it.
3. The resource points territories in the both sides of the bridge are within the the HQ boundaries, which does not allow artillery strikes.
Other than that, cracking map. Please keep up the good work.

hi i was just trying your map and i'd like to comment on how narrow the bridge is it makes it quite difficult for pathing and not just that it also makes it hard to set up hmg teams and other units to effectively set up killingfields, and i cant even begin to imagine how hard it is for vics to path effectivly around said hmg and mortar teams. its a really nice map otherwise my only suggestion would be to widen the bridge by the length of a panzer 4 or 1 tank length a-heh.
