Pushed out a few more since. It's fun trying to design a ship that beats all the other ships. Now, I even try to beat my own, lol, but I'm probably done for a bit now too, unless I see something interesting, like a new weapon (coming soon hopefully) =)

There are a few other oversized dreads in there, but ours should crush all of the others
This is a fun hobby to optimize dreads when we have time. looking forward to testing against the new paradox ships, they look interesting. Currently suspect I would disengage AI control in favor of pure side ramming as that chaingun wing looks far easier to break through than anywhere else.
I find it interesting that all 3 of us aim to never specifically hardcounter the others, but rather found a niche that we optimize for the strongest avg ship of our interest. No budget or crew limits beyond what the base game allows.
Lalelunatic unquestionably has the strongest pure ion and is the most career viable.
Paradox focuses on AI controlled battles using anything possible. I find it interesting how this changes the dynamic of the fights.
Laser focuses on the largest amount of speed and effective weaponry as possible under the expectation of manual control override that could instantly deal with any weaknesses that AI fails to abuse.
for big ships you gotta rake through the workshop... there are a few older ones, but i guess you´ve seen most of em if you took one serious look. even if there where more, its as said, someone makes ship A, so another person can make ship B to 100% counter it. then even another person makes ship C to counter ship B at 100%, which might lose against ship A then =/.
but keep em coming, its good for testing stuff and hopefully new modules down the line when career 2.0 is complete-ish. as i got a bit much on my plate atm to tinker around on a ship 2 months... sadly...
I added to that link/workshop my ship that can beat both of your ships. Took me a while, 10 versions, lol.
Do you guys know anyone else who makes bigger ships? I looked around the workshop, but didn't see many. Already beat the few I've seen.

Needed a break after working on it for several months straight. I am not yet satisfied with the thruster feel and the sidewall setup had not yet been settled. Deck cannon placement and integration with the chaingun reload I dont think was finished. Also wanted to learn paint so it currently has a mess of copied borrowed ideas meant to be worked on later.
I am pretty sure Wraith does need a degree of manual control to bring out its true power. Focus fire targetting is required vs your ships to prevent wasted damage

PS: the side lasers and shields where primarely to kill of lasers "one time use" chaingun array before it could ramp up. its always a back n forth with ship designs. havnt seen one yet that can kill everything =P.
I put mine against yours, took a few rebuilds of the ship before I got the results I wanted. I had to ditch the extra MRT's, using 2 columns instead of 4. It'll still go 87, just not 110+.

@Laser, Is your ship in the workshop?
