(2 - 4) Colonia Rurale

A model agrarian village created to make Libya the "Fourth Shore" of Italy, this Rural Colony on the outskirts of Tripoli is under threat from the advancing Eighth Army. Years of hard work to stabilize the surrounding dunes and cultivate crops are threatened under the weight of tank treads and the explosions of bombs and shells. Can the fascists defend their "utopia costruita" or will the Allied war machine grind forever forwards?

Colonia Rurale features agricultural fields in the north with railway lines that help separate the homesteads in the north from the rural center which dominates the center of the map.

This center is semi-closed with walls, arcades, and some buildings defining its exterior that leave the center quite open.

The bottom of the map is filled with untamed sand dunes, providing advantages to squads that excel at long range combat but are steep enough to allow devastating ambushes of units armed with sub-machine guns. Beware, capturing points here can leave you at the mercy of your opponent in this area!

The mod is called "(2 - 4) Tripolitania" and contains both the 1v1 and 2v2 versions of the map. Just subscribe to this single mod and get both maps!

Colonia Rurale was made by GBPirate for the CoH Worldbuilders 2024 Mapping Competition. Open submissions closed 15 January 2024 with results revealed 18 April 2024. Community members such as top players, streamers, mappers, and even professionals served as judges. Due to the anonymous nature of the competition, GBPirate uploaded all maps to the Workshop on behalf of the contestants.
