Toxsin X

Toxsin X is a wave based cooperative shooter made by using ReDead as a base, including features from ReDead as well as new changes such as:

● Wave Based gameplay; Survive wave by wave of zombies while shopping at the trader inbetween, all leading up to the finale where you'll have to do whatever it takes to escape.

● Diverse classes, each with their own special abilities and stats to give them the edge over the undead.

● Leveling system, allowing you to make your class more proficient at what they do best

● New Random events that'll keep you on your toes

● A diverse range of zombies including Boss Zombies, powerful zombies that'll make sure no course of action is safe whether that be running away or hiding.

● Human enemies doing whatever it takes to survive, including taking you out.

● A multitude of weapons guarenteed to fit your zombie killing preference. Explosive rounds on a shotgun? Coolant cannister traps? You're covered

● Support for cheat codes, which allow some fun alternatives and aesthetics to gameplay.

● And of course the ReDead features you've all come to love.

Your objective is to kill all the zombies in each wave, getting progressively more difficult and all leading up to the Finale. Between each wave, you'll have a small window to buy anything you think you'll need from the trader. The last time the trader will appear is before the final wave, where you'll have to shop for both it and the Finale. The ultimate objective of the Finale is to get to the evacuation point whilst fending off from a never ending hoard of zombies. Sometimes you may have to perform a task before you're able to evacuate, which is entirely random. Budgeting and teamwork is extremely important because it determines how well prepared you'll be for the Finale.



The gamemode is compatible with maps configured for ReDead. If you have configurations already, copy the text files from data/redead into data/toxsin-x/mapdata. It is recommended that you still go through the steps to ensure it is properly configured.
1. Start a local server on the map you'd like to configure. This can not be done in singleplayer and the map MUST have nav meshes.
2. Type 'sv_toxsinx_dev_mode' in your console.
3. Place all the props and entities using the tools you are given. There is more information below on what each entity is.
4. When you're happy with your setup, type 'sv_toxsinx_save_map_config' in console.
5. You're done. The configuration file is in your garrysmod/data/toxsin-x/mapdata folder now.

- info_evac: Places where the evac can spawn. It is recommended that you have these distanced from traderspawns.
- info_traderspawn: Places where the trader can spawn. Try to put them in open areas so all players can get to shop.
- info_lootspawn: Places where random loot may appear.
- info_npcspawn: Places where the zombies can spawn. It's recommended you scatter these across the map in ambush locations.
- info_player_army: Places where players will spawn. Try to have a little seperation between them so players don't get stuck.
- point_radiation: Constant radiation caches that can be useful to intimidate players away from particular parts of a map. It's not necessary though.
