A big f*ck you to the 360
A lot of the props in Left 4 Dead 1, and 2. Suffer from really bad envmaps, or a lack thereof. However, the vehicles suffered from far more than just awful envmaps. They suffered from extremely downgraded textures, atrocious UV work, and overall a lower detail look. This would be absolutely acceptable if they only did this for the 360, but no you PC users out there with decently modern computers still have to suffer with the quality of a 360 game. This mod attempts to use AI Scaling (controversiaaaaaaaaaaaal), my lackluster skills with model editing and texturing. And Bruner's skills with his texture modifications and envmap creation. To bring what we feel is a better looking set of Left 4 Dead 1 vehicles overall. So I'm going to release these as a standalone improvement for the first and second game to add to the evergrowing category of quality of life mods. These are still meant to replicate the style in quality of a CS:S vehicle model.

Ceno has a Gamemaps version of this mod on there for L4D1. Tho I assume they will also upload this "new" version there as well on Steam workshop for the second game

Though, that would be more likely for L4D1 (if there is also a L4D1 version of the new one in the works) as that’s usually where I base my TRS-Early Valve stuff on while just using L4D2 for Vanilla+ mods.

You know, that sounds quite similar to what would happen to me in my game but with an early 2008 version of Louis due to the Tank AI always seeming to go for me and the bots practically being useless against Tanks lol.

Damn that sounds sick! can't wait for it with me EA3 Louis to get knocked over by Police car with that 2007 Tank wooping his ass

The Humvee is going to be the most painful, as not much can be seen about it except the front detailing. So I'm definitely going to be taking some leeway with that one.

I also *sharp inhale* took the liberty of adding LODs to both, just for the hell of it.

The models (Taxi and Police Car) overall are on par with the Nuke Car in terms of polycount, I also attempted to make the smoothing as nice as possible, but it definitely isn't perfect. Due to how I did the second texture, the right side of the Police Car and Taxi near the front wheel look far better, and are practically seamless to the rest of the body.
