Description
“There's trouble in paradise. Covenant and UNSC forces are converging on an alpine island, and neither side is about to let the position fall without a fight. Things are about to get very heated.”

*Mod updated to be compatible and functional with the Halo MCC patch released on February 28th, 2025.*

Ever since I released Hemorrhage AI Mayhem, I wanted to also create an AI adventure on Forge World’s “Island” section. It always seemed like an interesting locale for an AI deathmatch. Finally, I have gotten around to creating this new, fresh AI battle for you guys on Reach. Covenant and UNSC forces of all types and sizes are fighting for territorial control, and only you can help decide the winner. All of the advancements made during the development of my later H3 mods, and the updates to Hemorrhage Mayhem are all here ready to go from day 1. This is a more infantry based AI war, but enough vehicles are also included to keep things moving at just the right pace. Enjoy and I’ll see you on the Forge Island AI Battlefield!

Features:
  • An endless AI battle that will last as long as your session goes, with over 60 AI that can take part in your battles.
  • My custom AI switch system that lets you control each and every AI squad that takes part in the battle.
  • Custom made Battle Rifle and Halo CE Magnum placed on map.
  • Pathfinding nearly everywhere.
  • Large amounts of randomly chosen types of AI that can spawn, along with random assorted equipment, ranks, and gear that is selected, so no two battles are the same.
  • All Warthog types available for the UNSC AI, randomly chosen.
  • New multiple dropship deployment locations for many of the squads, to make battles more unpredictable.
  • Custom placed Forge objects, props, and scenery throughout the map. Paradiso has been lovingly recreated, and somewhat modified for an AI experience.
  • Custom placed ready to use weapons and vehicles on map.
  • Multiple spawn locations for each team’s players.

…..And much more to discover!

How to play this map:

After subscribing to the mod on Steam and letting the download complete, launch Halo MCC with anti-cheat disabled. Navigate to Firefight, then Halo Reach Custom Firefight, and there should be an option to see Modded Missions. Choose “Paradiso AI Mayhem”, and then select a gametype. Do not choose any game modes that include “generator defense” options enabled, as the map does not support generator placement and is meant to be played with no objectives present. Feel free to customize anything in the game-type options. If you want to jump in right away without customizing anything, I recommend choosing the “Firefight Classic” gamemode. Choose your difficulty (Normal or Heroic is recommended, but all work fine) and load in. You are now all set! To play on the Human team, choose red. To join the Covenant, choose blue. If you want to play with your friends, make sure everyone has the mod installed, and launches with Anticheat off. Join your friend’s lobby and proceed as defined above.

Some Quirks About this Mod:
  • There is placed “fencing” throughout the map in certain areas. The island location is not nearly as compatible and friendly with AI pathfinding as Hemorrhage, so these barriers are there to prevent AI from getting stuck on objects or escaping the map’s boundaries. As I improve the map throughout the future with updates, I imagine the pathfinding improving and some of these guards coming down.
  • The CE Magnum and Battle Rifle do not have sounds. In the editor, the audio is perfect. In game, these custom weapons lose their voice. I have tried to correct this to no avail. I could not find any guides to help me in this area, and did not want to strip these assets out. (They are a lot of fun even with no audio!) So for now, they will remain in. As soon as I get their sounds working in-game, I will push an update for this, and also allow AI to spawn with and use these weapons.
  • Players may need to intervene with AI that refuses to track down the enemy. There are two fronts to this map, one on each side. So if a fight starts dying down too much, check the other side for stragglers. As a last ditch, disable the AI squad’s button and re-enable it.

@Raptor Those are good suggestions. This map was supposed to have more diversity of Elite and Brute ranks, however there is a bug somewhere in there that is preventing them from spawning. So right now only the common ranks can spawn. One of these days I want to go back and correct that, plus other bugs that I discovered after release.

On Hemorrhage, that map has a Zealot striketeam that can be called in by the player.

if you make another reach AI mayhem like this again maybe make certain kind of groups like a group of ultras or zealots a thing, and the zealots being led by a field marshal. some ranger spawns would also be cool, maybe as their own button like spec ops have their own

Ah right, loving the button choices. Thanks for the massive effort. Love to learn how you do this someday.

Those are the AI spawn controllers. They currently don’t have any custom info text implemented yet. There is a guide thread above the comments section that explains what each one does in the meantime. Hopefully soon I can update this map and make the switches tell you what they do.

Friends, I have just released an update that makes this map compatible with the Halo MCC patch that released on February 28th. The map is now 100% functional again! Enjoy!

Probably not. I would need to closely collaborate with the Mythic Mod’s author to make that happen. This could be difficult and I’m not sure if he would even be interested. So right now the mods will remain separate. Thanks for playing tho and I’m glad you are enjoying it!

love this mod mate, but is there any chance you could make this to work with the Mythic overhaul? This mod if you don't know it https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2899279981
