Description



We are excited to present you with a new mod that brings five distinct Space Marine vehicles from the WARHAMMER 40.000 universe to Rimworld.
The mod is built on Smash Phil’s Vehicle framework.
Each vehicle has unique weapons and special mechanics adding a little more strategic depth to your gameplay.
In terms of art, our goal was to combine the iconic style of Warhammer 40K with the original Rimworld aesthetic to achieve a seamless blend of these two universes. We hope you'll enjoy the result!








Lasweapons mechanics vary when the Vanilla Weapons Expanded - Laser mod is active.


The vanilla version uses projectiles that explode on impact, giving a larger area of damage.


The VWEL version uses coherent beams, which are more precise, do more damage, and overall more lore accurate, but do not explode on impact.



This mod is now compatible with Combat Extended. However, there are a few known issues on the CE side that are listed below:

-Vehicles cannot be completely destroyed because for some unknown reason Combat Extended weapons can not hit the roof of the vehicle.

-The projectile spawn point offset is currently incorrect in all vehicle orientations except north.

-The visual laser beam effect of laser turrets such as Stormbringer or Land Raider's lascannons is not rendered. This issue has already been resolved in the latest developer snapshot of Combat Extended. (You can either wait for the next CE update or download the latest CE developer snapshot and use it at your own risk)

-Artillery projectiles are flying in a straight line instead of an arc for now.

Maaaan, all of the cool artillery vehicles fall prey to this dreaded big update of Vehicle Framework.
It will take a while before the update drops, then still more until the modders decide to update their mods.
And even longer before some of them quit and we get to beg other modders to take up the torch.

MechTech is taking awhile to update (so the Tarantula artillery mech is unavailable), who knows when Mlie will get to Reinforced Mechanoids 2, the Whirlwind over here is unusable for the foreseeable future Q__Q.

But at least the rest of the stuff is usable.
Thank you so much. Rimworld just wouldn't be the same without its mods and modders.

Okay, thanks to my dear friend Phonicmas, who handled all the tedious work and heavy coding, I was able to update Astartes Vehicles to 1.6.

There are some restrictions, though: Combat Extended for 1.6 vehicles is currently performing poorly, and the 1.6 Vehicle Framework is still a bit unstable. As a result, there is no CE compatibility for now, and the Whirlwind vehicle has been temporarily disabled.

Every other vehicle should be OK

Sorry, there won't be an update. Phil and VE did a massive amount of refactoring for 1.6, and I simply don't have enough free time to dive in and make all the necessary changes. Especially since some of the vehicles use custom mechanics that would also need to be rewritten.

There might be an update in the future as a separate mod. I had planned to add bikes, flying vehicles, and finally make use of an upgrade system, but that won't happen anytime soon.

Any chance we will see bikes/assault bikes added so our White Scars stop having mental breaks?
