APOSTLE PROTERANT is a mod for Cultist Simulator that adds a whole new legacy and ascension path. Taking place eighteen years after the events of THE EXILE, you will assume the role of an Italian partisan fighting against the German occupation of Italy during the Second World War. During your battlefield travels, you encountered the Exile, and brokered a strong friendship with them.

Before they left to fight their Foe, the Exile shared a secret with you: this war is a special contest between the Edge-Hours, and the prize of victory is the raising of a new Name. When the dust settles - and if you have proved yourself - it is you who might be Named for the Lionsmith.

March north, to Rome, where a great hinge of the Corrivality will turn. Prove your strength. Crush your enemies. Meet your destiny.

This mod includes (among other things):
  • A new legacy, available after achieving the Eternal Enmity ending under the Lionsmith in the Exile DLC. You can also start it from the Sixth History menu if you choose to.
  • A new, difficult ascension path for Namehood under the Lionsmith.
  • A host of allies and enemies to try your might against as you march across the Italian peninsula.
  • Seven new endings with achievement support on the start screen's COLLECTION menu.
  • A new soundtrack
  • 60+ pieces of original artwork
  • Support for Russian and Chinese language translation

Your Long-comrade - the one they call Exile - has suggested you might be Named for the Hour called Lionsmith. The road to ascension will be arduous and long. Fight your enemies across 17 warzones on the Italian peninsula and rise in the estimation of the Edge-Hours. Master the making of monsters, and deepen your rage and strength at the Lionsmith's shrines. Learn lost techniques of combat and wield them against titanic foes. If you achieve mastery; if you kill the right enemies; if you rise boldy enough to the challenge which you have been issued, the Lionsmith may call you up from the battlefield to become his instrument.

"Around me, the citizen-soldiers of La Resistenza gather their arms and fasten their boots for the march."

You are a partisan captain of the Italian Resistance. At your side and under your command are the summer-scorched, lion-hearted, and determined fighters of La Resistenza. Coordinate operations across a wide scale by wisely allotting your men and resources; track down, detain, and force hiding adepts to assist your troops against the Wehrmacht; order your soldiers to offer assistance to the locals of a war-torn city - or break down their doors in search of supplies. If you want to make it to Rome alive, you will need the assistance of your brothers-in-arms. And besides them, the Lionsmith's arts can offer the ingenious soldier a way to field creatures stronger and fiercer than men...

1943, the Italian Campaign: the Germans entrench themselves in machine gun nests, in old fortresses, amidst the bones of empire. But they are not the only enemies you'll find on the field. The flames of war burn furious in Italy, thinning the boundaries between the world and the House, unsettling reality. Dead men rise from their graves to torment the living. Monsters lope through the snow to dine on battlefield dead. And where the Corrivality burns at its height, those terrible immortals called Edge-Long may be drawn to the fighting like sharks to blood...

Dependencies
You will need GHIRBI and the Roost subscribed/enabled to be able to play this mod. Apostle Obdurant will also need to be installed; make sure it goes below Apostle Proterant in the mod loading order.

You will also want to play on the Gate of Horn beta branch of Cultist Simulator; the mod will not work properly otherwise.

Compatibility
This mod does not alter any base game or DLC legacies or mechanics, nor any modded ones. It should be compatible with all mods.

HOWEVER, please disable Season of Acquaintances while playing this mod.

Wait, every time you draw a new potential next Warzone you can never draw it again? I've drawn Montecassino what felt like too early in the run so I skipped it and went somwhere else. But after a few places when I started seraching for it I've drawn a few new locations and then exclusevly Rome.

Are there only two monsters that can be forged with Behram? Dadgah and Adaran had three each, so I don't know if Behram would also have three.

If you set the Long against each other, they will fight on for quite a while. You won't get them interfering with your campaign, but you will not be able to do the Mushvashir with them, and without that you won't be able to ascend to Longhood.

Hi, I have a question about the continental. So I have completed the dream task and I found the war maker. However, instead of telling the war maker what the exile's bet was, I put in the completion of continental, so the war maker went to hit the continental, and it says that I may not meet them again. I wonder if I could still get the golden coin for the duel

funny minor bug where trying to seize "opportunity: church" converts it into the church from soa (disabled it now, which a simple solution, but may be worth looking into or at least mentioning)

Unsure if this is a design choice or a bug, but in case of the latter... if your ally is captured in a "left to the elements" verb and then you move to another location, with all the verbs disappearing the ally isn't spat out and instead just disappears. This happens so often when you're travelling in Ruined Country...

If you forge a monster, it rebels, and you then recruit it, it will not stack with other monsters of the same type.

@WencBi - You might just have to leave it alone and wait; the game can sometimes freeze up when entering a Warzone especially when it's trying to create many Enemies/Allies when you spawn in (like Montecassino) and clicking around while it's trying to do that can cause a crash
