Description
FACTION SHIP TYPES FOR THE HEROES - ESG Mod 1.5 compatible

If you think the original hero ships are too small, this modification might be the solution ...

With this mod, the heroes of the major factions uses the medium-sized ships instead of the white/red nutshells.

The heroes of the minor factions receive the medium ship designs of the pirates and minor factions.


SUMMARY
Hero class Admiral
Ship class medium Attacker

Hero class Administrator
Ship class medium Defender

Hero class Adventurer
Ship class medium Explorer

Hero class Corporate
Ship class medium Supporter


Besides this the quest bound heroes of the United Empire uses following ship types:
Hadri Lenko
UE ship class medium Attacker

Lena Zelevas
UE ship class medium Supporter

Petra Mandzukic
UE ship class medium Explorer


The other QUEST heroes:
Sophons Mavro hero Krak "Cubed" Bleis uses a Sophons ship class medium Attacker

Horatio hero "Five" uses a Horatio ship class medium Attacker

Endless hero "Reyaryn Cious" uses a Cravers ship class medium Attacker

Endless hero "Tiaych Zhilleaq" uses an advanced minor faction ship class medium Defender

Rhync Raggiodri, a.k.a. The Photobomber uses an improved version of the classic Drop hero ship class.

Fluffpetal Gurk'Zvar uses the Bloody Hellhound, a deadly armed Pillager MkII class ship.
Be warned when hunting the Pirate Leader and be prepared for a tough fight with his large and fast rogue fleet!

The Survivor (ESG Mod Vodyani hero) uses a Vodyani medium size ship.


The Academy Quest
"Preserve the Academy"
The Vodyani extremist fleets pose a great danger and threaten to destroy the Academy!
A real challenge for all empires ...


NOTE
Remember that the heroes of the opposing empires (human/AI) also use these ship designs!


COMPATIBILITY
Compatible with ESG Mod v1.5.
Since this mod alters the files HeroDefinitions.xml and BattleActionDefinitions.xml, it will come to conflict with mods, which also change these files!

Put the FACTION HEROES SHIPS mod LAST in the loading order to ensure that the correct game mechanics changes are made.


IMPORTANT
This mod changes the ship types ONLY of the HEROES of the game (and DLCs) and NOT of the heroes of other modifications ...


Due to its structure, this mod should always be functional, even if it is not up to date.

@Bucketsmith If you go to the file 3175339111 and go to simulations, find the hero definitions. Then find the same file, hero definitions in file 285610967. You need to swap out and override the the skilltreegeneric from the former and copy/paste the special trees from the latter. Then make sure Arkon is a lower number on the mod list than political skill trees. It is tedious and you need notepad++ but it does work. I have done it.

I really like both mods! I'm bummed out the game's modability won't allow these separate mechanics to be modded at the same time.

@js.cap44.hh Turns out they can be made compatible! I woke up in the middle of the night with an idea based on what you said. By simply changing the political skill tree in your mod's definitions and having the politics mod under it in the load order, I can have both your ships and their skill trees! @js.cap44.hh It's not possible then. There is already a political skill tree mod and they both need to modify Hero Definitions. I tried running them both and they are incompatible. Whatever is loaded last will overwrite the other. I was hoping it was possible to mess with both files so they cooperate, but all attempts seem to cause CTD errors. What a shame. I was not asking you to do it or anything. Sorry to bother you.

@LinkFan001: This mod changes the file "HeroDefinition.xml" and assigns new ships to the heroes. If you want to change the skills or their political influences you are free to change them. Just write a small mod with the new political tree and put it before or after the "HEROShipMod" in the load order ...

Is it possible for a layperson to merge this mod with another or is that simply impossible? I wish so badly to have these ships with the political skill trees. The generic one is so lame. If it is impossible to merge mods or mess with both the ships and skills at the same time, well pity.
