Description
This is a patch for the excellent Higher Mortality mod to the latest patch. The original creator Fletz, has commented that he no longer plays CK3 and was not sure when he could put a patch out. I decided to go ahead and do the work myself because I wanted to play with the mod (as I am sure many of you do too).

I have made the mod compatible with the latest patch (please comment if you run into any issues, I will be try to be quick to fix any bugs I may have missed)

I have also made some balance adjustments to account for both my personal experience with the original mod and the new plague system. Those changes are as follows:

-Lowered the chance to randomly catch a disease (because plagues are already very deadly)

-Deadliness of the entire mod is lowered a bit, to account for the deadliness of LotD plagues

-Characters start to lose health at a later age, but that loss is much more aggressive (tldr after age 50, characters will lose health much faster to fight against OP health modifiers)

I have been tweaking this mod for years now to account for balance, I will keep testing it with this new patch and change it accordingly. Please test it out and tell me if you run into any problems, I will be frequently observing its results to make it the right amount of deadly :)

Too bad, I don't want "much more", just the mortality tweaks...

@laxfeed correct, I personally use Dark Ages now and feel no need to keep this mod current.

@ENFP Am I right to understand that further support for the mod is not to be expected?

@laxfeed I recommend using dark ages instead, it does what this mod does and much more!

I don't know why but this mod conflicts with "Elf Destiny", it crashes the game after the first expedition

For those wondering about this mod, I now recommend the excellent mod 'dark ages' instead. It is much more balanced and up to date with the current patch, and I use it now instead of higher mortality!

@ENFP thank you. With this mod a 1-star plague just killed all my 6 children after I bought the DLC, and I had taken all possible measures. I like the idea of my kids randomly catch cold and die, or a pregnant woman miscarriage, but a plague killing 80% of the royal family is just too cruel. I think you can simply make people take the common illness more frequently, without lowering the health they need to die.
