Information



This mod only increases the minimum and maximum province caps (distance covered) by 3 times as much, but it doesn't guarantee that the plagues will cover their maximum allowed provinces. So the more plague resistance everyone has, in a general area of an ongoing plague, the more likely the plague will not spread and only cover it's minimum provinces cap. The exact opposite is also true, the less plague resistance, the more likely the plague will spread to its surrounding area and possibly cover it's maximum province cap.

The reason for this is because I felt the plagues never really affected me, since most of the time they were really small. Even the major ones, with the exception of the Black Death, did not really spread that far and was a let down for me.

THE MOD ALSO AFFECTS THE BLACK DEATH, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
IT TENDS TO COVER THE ENTIRE WORLD NOW AND LAST AT LEAST A DECADE (10 YEARS).




Mod Compatibility



The mod edits the caps in the "00_epidemics.txt" so I'd steer clear of mods that touch that file.



FAQ



1. Can this be used in my current save? Can it also be removed without issues?

Answer: Yes, it only changes 1 file and these changes are reversible. As long as your game is up to date, it can be added and removed without issues. When the mod is removed, the current ongoing plagues will stop spreading if they're over the normal vanilla cap. If they're under, well, then it will spread like a normal plague without the mod.

any chance you could make a 5x version? I use a mod that adds a lot more counties/baronies and such so plagues still don't spread as much as they probably could. No pressure if you don't feel like it, of course, this mod is already a huge improvement over base-game spread.

Yup, seems like I had a once in a million very long lasting plague, the mod is not broken to anyone that is curious.

This is broken... The black plague never ends, counties get reinfected over and over, it never ends. It's been over 10 years..

Sorry ^^', I don't think i'm going to do one for that. It's because there is already a game rule for legends, that allows them to spread faster, up to 50% faster, which should be fast enough.

In my games, I ended up installing a mod to make legends last forever, but changed the rule to ramp up their cost by twice as much and make them very low to spread xD. That way, the permanent bonuses from legends feel worthwhile and legendary because of that increased cost to make/maintain/spread them.

Joke aside i would like the power to actually spawn them and you know set a rule where maybe its even more of a hazard
