No Legitimacy

Description
Completely removes legitimacy from the game. If you are not fond of the current implementation of legitimacy, then this mod is for you.

Updated for 1.16.2.3

Main Changes

-Legitimacy removed both from the game systems and UI (tooltips, descriptions, and so on.)

-Events updated to use (mostly) prestige instead

-Activities and decisions use (mostly) prestige instead

-Legitimizing legends grant renown

-Dynasty legacy perks related to legitimacy focus on short reign, tyranny reduction and influence instead

-Buildings and traits give different bonuses/maluses instead of legitimacy

-Foster Legitimacy/Damage Legitimacy administrative scheme now gives a vassal and popular opinion buff/debuff

-"Espouse legitimacy" intent deactivated

-Legitimacy penalty for "ask to take vows" interaction replaced with prestige costs if you don't have Monastic Communities cultural tradition

-Bolster Legitimacy court task boosts renown and county opinion

Some of the mod's additions ( like courtly vassals" opinion debuff for lowborn marriage) have been since included into the base game, so these are no longer needed.
I also try to not change areas where Paradox apply check for "has_legitimacy" condition.

COMPATIBILITY & POTENTIAL ISSUES:

Legitimacy is referenced in key vanilla scripts, any total conversion or mechanically-heavy mod will most likely require compatibility patch.

Fresh start is required.

Loading up a save with legitimacy enabled may result in bugs.

Hey guys. The update is big and the mod has grown big too. I'll try to find time to update everything properly. You can use the usual basic method (removing "legitimacy=yes" from the government types folder) in the meantime.

The mod seems to have been broken a little by the latest update due to the Realm tab update.

Updated for 1.15.0. Vassalization legitimacy modifiers now should not appear under any circumstances (unless the mod is not last in the loading order).
Bug reports are appreciated as usual.

I think the last update broke this mod... please update? :(

So this mod is pretty neat. However, the legitimacy mechanic is still in force when it comes to vassalising someone. In fact, since installing the mod I'm pretty sure my legitimacy has gone down when it comes to vassalising rulers
