It would be really funny, if that one trailer was a major inspiration behind the aesthetic of this map :D really funny. Anyway, if you want to start modding, official Ravenfield's Discord server is still active. You "just" need time, willpower and keeping ambitions small at first.
It sort of makes me want to get into mod development myself so I could throw together some guns and skins to really fit the style…
While I have not encountered (or haven't recognised) the problem that you had, if you could share screenshots on Ravenfield's official Discord server (map-making channel), it could be easier for me to look further into the problem.
