Description
Welcome to the Diggalactic, the epitome of mining efficiency and space exploration.
Produced by Zero Gravitas Design, where gravity is overrated, this vessel boasts dual propulsion systems—hydrogen and ion—for unparalleled maneuverability in both space, planetary (under development) and moons environments.

Equipped with four autonomous mining drones, the Diggalactic ensures swift and efficient mining operations. Its double-foldable solar array provides ample power, while advanced LCD panel management systems keep you informed every step of the way.

With seating for three—pilot, mining operations engineer, and panoramic deck—the Diggalactic offers both functionality and comfort. Its depressurization control system ensures safety during operations.

Featuring an autonomous cargo drone for automated material unloading and an extendable landing pad system with merge block for transport to jump ships, the Diggalactic is your ultimate companion for seamless mining and exploration missions.




Drone Carrier for mining (Space & Moons) - Vanilla version.

Important Notes:

The system utilizes the SCAM implementation by Pro100tv.

1- If you're not experienced, I suggest following their usage guides and those provided by the original author.

2- If not in use, keep the thrusters of the drones turned off as they affect the stability of the ship (There is a group named "XU3-Thrusters")

3- For mining operations, always position the ship transversely to the excavation point to avoid drone overlap.
The SCAM is configured to prevent mid-air collisions, but it's better to be cautious.

4- Do not move with the landing gear extended: they are very delicate in case of impact.
It's better to extend them when positioned at the landing point.
The ventral sensor lights help with better positioning (they turn on at approximately 10 meters distance).

5- The Cargo Drone is capable of unloading material towards a collector point.
To configure it, reprogram the "unload" AI block (be careful to use the beacon of the collection point as a reference, not that of the ship).

6- If the Cargo Drone is not in use, it should be configured as follows:
a) Thrusters OFF (there is a button in the engineer's cockpit at the stern)
b) Event block OFF
c) Sorter OFF

7- At the bow, there are 4 stone ejectors.

Brief How-To for newbie Drone Miners
First of all recompile all the Programmable Block (with Miner in the name) of the carrier and the PB of the drones (a-min3r).
1) go with the carrier near a mining site (for less experienced miners find a spot on the surface of an asteroid, possibly flat-ish)
2) Place your carrier with the mining spot on your right (works better since the cargo drone is on the left)
The position of the mining drone must be parallel to the mining point surface, since the drone should drill vertically
3) go on the mining engineering cockpit, in front of the console you have 2 screen: The left one is the drone commands menu, the right one is the drilling activities report (the blue one).
4) Press "1" to activate the left screen (that's mean you can move the cursor on the left with your mouse. Please be aware that you move/select also the right screen cursor, but it is a flaw of the SCAM implementation).
5) Use the your mouse to select one of the miner (bottom side of the left screen, you see small cursors, using "E" you "click" and select a drone)
6) Select "Timers" menu ("E" select, "Q" goes back)
7) Select "Undock" function -> the drone is undocked from the connector and you can remote control through "K" interface
8) Press K -> Remote Access and remote control the undocked drone
9) Press "3" (the co-axial drone camera)
10) Press "1" and use the mouse on the drone menu lcd (as for the engineering console)
11) Go on the "menu" item (use mouse, "Q" to go back, "E" to select)
12) Select "Take Control"
13) Press "1" again (to disable mouse function on the display)
14) Press "5" to de-activate the gyro override
15) Pilot your drone to the mining spot (you can use also the second camera)
16) Hover gently on the mining spot (not too high, better almost touching it)
17) Press "1" to reactivate mouse on the LCD and select "Start job"

The remaining drones starts to drill new shaft after few seconds.
Go back to your Engineering Console enjoy your drones flying back and forth.
To hold/recall drones use the "Recall" button on the right screen.
Please check the "Do/Do Not" section of the XU-3 Auto mining drone description by Pro100tv.

Expect some "boom" and "crash" sometime, as rough mining terrains can lead to drone misbehavior.
The drones are configured to fly at a certain safe distance from each other, but they do not feature anti-collision systems, so occasionally they may collide in flight.

It's normal that the drones are in "Disabled" status when you load up the carrier.
You need to learn how to use SCAM system.
Check the SCAM module by cheerkin[/ur] for the overall guide.

Awesome project, shame its not working. Carrier work and drones are in disabled status could not make it work
