Description
This is the improved new version of the Automated Tunnel Boring Machine [TBM], which was published 3 years ago. I made this during a couple of livestreams, which are probably the best source of information to understand how it works.

The TBM can be printed in survival mode or pasted in creative mode. The small grid drill heads will need to be projected and constructed separately, as they are not able to collide with voxel material. Blueprints for the drill heads are published unlisted, on the workshop and are linked in the collection.

Instructions on how to set up the TBM are included in the blueprint, all information is displayed on the pink LCD screens.

A copy of the original game save is also included in the collection, so you can see how it all works and contains the blueprint master copies.

The TBM is over-engineered and is only intended as an inspiration for your own builds. It can be adapted to suit your individual needs. Its primary function is to automatically drill and fabricate an underground facility, that’s said, it will also produce vast amounts of basic ingots.

Isys Inventory Manager by Isy configured and installed.

I think I ended up just making new pistons rather than using the projection, I vaguely recall writing the piston settings on one of the screens. Fairly sure I did a test setup on the live stream.

hmm it also isn't allowing me to convert tp ship after removing the pink blocks for that.

How does one even connect the tether pistons to each other? I can't place two weld pads to weld them together and pasting it comes with the piston heads to begin with.

Hi Kubalabuku. This machine was build during a two livestreams, here is the link to the second stream, I think I start programming around the 2 hour mark, hopefully this will help. https://www.youtube.com/live/cd4rZt0sw9g?si=LemASGMhw9whU8vC

Is this still working as intended with the contact update? I recently tried building this in my survival world, and after much trial and error, using admin mode and referencing the world save you posted, I still cannot get it to inch forward. Would it be possible to provide a list or maybe create a video that goes through how each of the timers and event controllers are set up? I feel like it's almost working like it should, I'm just missing something. Thanks!

Hi Mercer. They aren't mods, they are blueprints, you need to creative paste or survival projector print them. Have I read you question right?

subbed to the modds needed but they arent showing in game any ideas?

Yeah Bazil, I don't see why not. You'd need to alter the tunnel blueprint and add some more welders, adjust the required items list, but I think it has a lot more capacity than what I set it to do. Making changes to this is something I'm not planning on doing, the intent is to share for others to try stuff themselves. The original game save file with all the individual bits/blueprints is linked in the above collection, that has suggestions how to adapt things.
