Pressure Link

Description
Another plunge to the deep, dark, and damp depths of the facility...

Setting place in the caverns and tunnels between old and new Aperture, this layer is the industrial in-between space responsible for maintaining many of the facility's basic functions, and was also used as a former testing bed for the modern style of testing environment.

Your objective is to climb up and out of this transitional area, and it is likely to provide some smelly pressure filled puzzling challenges along the way.

I LOVED the Infra and Black Mesa assets used. It gave off a vibe that I have never seen before in a portal map. I hope to see more of this in the future!

Beautiful Hammerizations which, crucially, do not distract from or obscure the puzzle. Thumbs up!

Who else loves those fun little hallway sections in between levels

That's fair, I can only imagine how much of an undertaking even one Hammer map of this scale is. I can really tell how much you and various others put into this map, it's incredible visually like many Hammer maps these days and I massively enjoyed it.

It's neat to know some of your other maps are more explorable though, I'll check them out sometime! There's still so much content I'm working through by other mapmakers, and I tend to be pretty methodical about it (in other words, once I have my sights set on playing all the maps from someone's workshop "A", I'll take it upon myself to complete it all, even if sometime in the middle I discover someone else "B" who also has good, or even better, stuff).

It doesn't help that I'm the kind of person who, to a semi-reasonable extent, tries to consume tamer-quality content as a whole, before getting to the real good stuff. Of course, I know I only have so much time and that there's generally far more 7/10 stuff than 9 or 10/10 stuff. That's where the "semi-reasonable" part comes in, so I try to limit my consumption of the former to more popular content but I understand some people find the idea silly as a whole. With Portal specifically though I've happened upon many bangers early so, it gets a bit more complicated. My list of authors isn't too too long though, so, hopefully, I'll get around to your work sooner rather than later :)

I was planning initially on making an expansive set of extra areas to explore, but once I finished what is now the current map I was exhausted, I had created two whole puzzles with large background areas, and I came to the conclusion that I just don't feel like it.

I would've loved to make that area but due to brush budget and me being tired of working on tihs map it'll remain without much in terms of extra areas. Maybe sometime for P2:CE I'll make a version of this map with proper explorable areas.

Regardless I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the map!
